He's great in attack. He's on par in defence. Tuilagi is better overall. Luch isn't far behind. He is to attack what Blore is to defence.

was non existent in the 2nd half of the manly trial but sometimes all it takes is a player like hastings to unlock your ability

Yep,hes been outstanding with the ball in the trials,although his defence not really tested.It suits him to play smaller minutes..but he looks fitter than ever

Sadly He has a track record of being a Poor return on investment,

We are close to having some good options.

He's gone though as of next season. No point worrying about him we need the next candidate to step up.

You know well that even when Brooks does receive recognition, he didn't deserve it. The thing with Hastings is he will only succeed if he has a partner in the halves with genuine pace. You and I know Hastings has no pace so while many believe Hastings will bring the best out in Brooks, I am of the view Hastings needs Brooks to bring the best out in him. Let's hope they both go well.

100%.
The best halves that year were in star studded lineups.
There would be games where they won, personally performing excellently and didn’t poll points as one of the internationals in their teams stood up more.
Brooks benefitted for being a recognisable name in an average team. If we won, he polled points…warranted or not.

Yet only the overall medal winner automatically gets the positional award, so his point score was only part of his. Debatable, maybe, but was certainly at the level of any other half under Cleary and his win was by no means a controversy.
