I'm actually trying to find a quality halfback who is playing in a ordinary side and i can't see one, can you?

I find that hard to believe given all the hyperbole around the topic.

On NRL360 on Monday Rothfield said Sheens told him something along the lines of - he realises we won't win the comp this year he just doesn't want to see us getting flogged

I’m sure someone will mention Chad Townsend being a premiership winning halfback. Yet so was Shane Perry.

Isn't Madge a renowned defensive coach. Isn't that a major reason why we hired him?

Madge wasnt the reason we lostbtonthe dogs on the final round last year, nor the reason we have been a below average for the majority of the last 22 years.

Madge is only coach that Can change the culture here at the WTS

100%. I have no idea why Madge changed Liddles style of play he was very much an eyes up and attack 1st hooker, under Madge he is just a grab/pass and defend. Hope this season things open up and Simpkin/Brooks and co can just play what is infront of them and be attacking.

Liddle playing to instructions. You can only do what the coach wants you to do

Eh, Liddle does try to run but he normally picks bad times to do it. Too often does he run straight into the marker for a gain of about one metre.

A lot of young dummy halves realise once they get to the NRL they can't just run up the guts all the time and have to adjust accordingly. We can see Jake Simpkin going through the same thing at the moment

My observation is that you cant change lazy or mediocre culture with personel who didn’t sign up for it. This is not limited to the NRL. Happens in all organizations. The salary cap and long contracts mean we were stuck with players long term who didnt buy in. Compounding this was I believe managers saw the tigers as a dumping ground for their overpaid, worn out fringe first graders.

Most of those players have finally moved on This seasons results will show if we’ve turned the corner or not.

Yea that’s my point . Guys come here knowing the team won’t be utter garbage , mid table ish , they will get a good pay check win half their games , and meh if they don’t make the finals . It’s only the last 2-3 seasons that the fans and media have really really grabbed this missing the finals narrative , and pushed the mediocrity into the spotlight . Of this point I actually am glad the media is hammering us . We are mediocre , we do have a soft underbelly . But now it feels like we have got to the bottom of the why , and are moving towards a solution .
