Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Madden seems to have been given heaps of rewards without playing that well. That game in the trial was the best I've seen him play in a number of games. I was writing him off prior to that game.

He might make it but he will be one of those players that slowly develops their game to a high level.
hope Madden kills it tonight but not sure he will make it at nrl level

Excuses at the ready mate?
Worst case scenario we recycle the same excuses thrown up for brooks for about 5 years now its algood

Bit rough to think you got the right to judge players with not much experience at first grade level whilst also defending someone like brooks. Stop making a fool of yourselves.

He's been here long enough to be given a go, at least.
His stint at the back end of the second trial was as good as I've seen him play in any grade....
His games last year were nothing to sack the current 7 over, In fact - I thought he looked all ends up.
Fingers crossed for him tonight, We're gonna need him and a few others to play as well as they possibly can.

Madden has a great opportunity over the next few games Warriors, Titans and Sharks to impress.
They are all teams that we should be competitive against & as a half he should be able to get a highlight moment or few against as well.

The good think about Blore is you don't have to worry about that edge as much in defence. The centre and winger still have to do their bit, but Blore hits and sticks better than any other 2RF we have - long term this helps your half. In attack he has underwhelmed me.

In a weird way alot of our pack remind me of Jason Holder from the west indies, huge unit who charges in and bowls... 120km/h. Although holder is less useless in general.
Bad example using cricket lol.

Jason Holder was huge, but regardless of his size, he knew where to place the ball and swing the ball.

Unfortunately, our team has no skill, no inside out play since 2010.

But they love the wide play and going for a high kick.

Yeah, it was a "weird" analogy 🙂

That is my assessment as well. He plays in a skill based position and I think it's the toughest job on the park in terms of having the highest bar of what it means to execute to a high level.

I think this is Brooks problem as well. Brooks is an average NRL half but players in that role have to execute consistently to a high level. Brooks even gets less chances than a lot of other halfbacks in the comp because we aren't a quality team. So Brooks gets say 5 chances a game to do something and we need him to make 5 quality plays in those instances. I don't think Brooks has the ability to do that. We are asking too much of him.

My biggest concern with both Nikora and Nanai is they don't fix our defensive weaknesses.

They both have good upside (Nanai is soooo young and huge talent) in attack but defensively they are both top 5 in missed tackles and low end in tackle efficiency scale. Its round 3 so early days but it's an interesting start if we want to fix up leaking points.

They both are an upgrade on what we have (probably comparable to Lucy atm) the challenge though is are they the right upgrades to what we want to be with Stef/Api/Papa rounding them out.
What about the other Cronulla second rower Talakai, he certainly is a threat on a edge? Uncertain of his contractual status but he was a beast at times last night.

Oh the irony, you literally have no clue.
Again stop making a fool of yourself telling others to jump on a bike with the dribble you post.

Hope your buddy Brooks has a stellar game, oh and Liddle too 🙂

The dribble I post?
Your posts literally say nothing - Again - and again - and again...
This one included.

Aitken if released is a player I would recruit for second row and fill in as required at centre. He's tough, runs hard, has good pace and tackles. Importantly he is a competitor and the type of player that will inspire his team mates. He has played well in the second row for the Warriors.
Seems like a player Sheens would like.

tell you what its better than sounding like a top shelf knobhead again and again and again, most on here would agree with that sentiment for you x
