Madge isnt to blame for stupidity under pressure,these guys have to learn to understand what NRL pressure is and play to it week to week,thats what happens when you have a heap of youth DEVELOPING and experience going threw the motions...Although I thought Tamou finally led from the front....

The club failed to hire hard heads to help the youth with pressure. A good coach would identify this weakness and train under high pressure conditions. Throw some scenarios at them and offer solutions.
They seriously look like they don’t know what to do. It’s u/18’s stuff. Everyone tries to score off every play. Headless bloody chooks.

I think the brooks madden combo worked well. except for a couple of rushed plays they were both good. The ref bombed a try and Laurie bombed another.

Agree lots with your first 2 sentences. Simpkin is so slow with his pass off the ground.

Laurie needs a stint in ressies to get his confidence back. Not the same player this year.

Looked confident under the high ball.
Solid performance.

Would like to see him play fullback next week with Laurie dropped... not sure how likely that is to happen though.

Haven't given up on the young fellow and even wrote about having to expect a bit of that from the youngsters like Simpkin and Rua needing to get the no longer dominate play once they reach the very different NRL level.

That said, he rightly copped gobfuls from both halves and others tonight, as he ruined nearly all his sets on their line. Twal has to be used as a sponge, else he is wasted and certainly so coming on late in the game.
 
That’s fair tbh, what was more concerning about the young rake is with the game continually getting quicker., really doubt he has enough pace to take advantage of chances around the ruck moving forward, rest assured Madge will give him umpteenth chances to succeed.
