Had we won those games, even though the squad would still be the same, winning close games like that early on would have given them confidence.

frustrating game for the dogs

Just watched Manly vs bulldogs. Both teams were pretty average and neither look much better than us - although on paper they should be.
In the other game - cowboys were keen and really good but broncos were very lacklustre.
One theme through both games was the winning team was more aggressive with their line speed and D and won the game because of it.

Manly won because of the ref. Dogs copped some disgraceful decisions in the 2nd half. Ref again just deciding which rules he will enforce and which ones to blatantly ignore. It's crap, certain clubs never get the rub of the green. No wonder the comp has been so predictable and lopsided for the last decade or so.
