There have been reports Brooks is on 900k to a million next year. They offload Thompsons deal and we are paying some of Brook's deal there so instead of them having all of his they will only have 300k of Brook's deal is what I'm hearing
Get off the TalejSheens said it when he signed on......now go eat some gabagool
Why would McDonnell have a say in team selection for first grade? I'd say he'd have zero input into that.Forget about dillon for first grade at this club for a couple of reasons, he needs time, I’m not saying he will ever be as good as papenhuyzen, but I watched papenhuyzen and he couldn’t handle reserve grade when first played it, he was timid and rag dolled and mr Mac and others didn’t see it in papenhuyzen, so they let him go. We didn’t want him. Unfortunately we don’t have time for a dillon to sit in reserve grade, make mistakes be inconsistent, get stronger, gain confidence etc…. We have nobody in reserve grade to help the youngsters progress, and it doesn’t matter how dillon plays, macdonell doesn’t like him.
#6 all day and has so much belief in himself to succeed at 6.Doueihi is a centre. The best we’ve got at that…
And I repeat, of the players we have ATM he is our best FB by miles!
This is the great trope of Rugby League; that a certain position needs to be a certain type of player.Gee, i think i have watched nearly every Tigers game in recent years and i like AD. But seriously he would not make 5/8 in any other side in the comp. You are dreaming if you think he would improve this side playing in the halves! He will be lucky to make the top 13! Piease name a slower 1/2 or 5/8 in the comp. We need speed and someone elusive in these positions.
The players never own their losses. I'm afraid the only way to attract top quality players and turn over the current playing roster is to find a coach that players want to play under-I don't see Madge as that coach with all the bad wraps he gets in the media. Might be time for a Ciraldo, Flanagan or Kristian Woolf purely on the basis of attracting players to the club.
I think our club looks stale to players looking for a new club - a new approach is needed. It's also time for Mr Triguboff to take an active role in the recruitment drive - not in identifying players but what he can offer to players after football/investments etc being truly invested in the club wanting it to succeed on and off the field like Politis at the Roosters or Russell at the Bunnies (love them or hate them). Many clubs would die to have our Junior nursery and supporter base - c'mon Tigers let's make it happen.
either centre or lockAgree, the Doueihi @ 6 experiment should now be on the memorabilia shelf.
Doueihi finished 8th in Daily M voting in a struggling team. I would hardly say the experiment is over loleither centre or lock

A five-eighth doesn't need to be quick and elusive, he could be big and strong, or slippery, or an organiser, or a run-first player, or a skilful backrower-type, or whatever...
Provided a team plays to their strengths, with a game plan to suit, any number of body types or skillsets can work in just about any position.
Cam Murray works as a 13. NAS works as a 13.
Cam Smith worked as a 9. Robbie worked as a 9. Damien Cook works as a 9.
All these players are built different and play different.
AD can be a great five-eighth in my opinion and is best suited there. But equally, he could be a great centre. It depends on the strengths and needs of the team and how he's used.
oh so we are taking Dally m points in consideration now ????Doueihi finished 8th in Daily M voting in a struggling team. I would hardly say the experiment is over lol
Brooks won 4 years ago, while Doueihi finished 8th last year. Important to remember context when evaluating current form.oh so we are taking Dally m points in consideration now ????
of course when it is Adam Douhie
When it is Luke Brooks
oh those Dally m points were not right.

Yep it should be a big consideration. Not much you can do to predict how a player will fare with injury after they've signed though. Luck of the draw most times, but yep, stay away from signing blokes who have an injury history.Dare I write it but another issue surely a club like ours must look at is durability. How many games is a player actually on the field per season? If you are on a good contract of say $500k and above, all intents an purposes you should be out there as much as possible.
Fair call, but hard to plan for. Look at the 2021 Roosters.Dare I write it but another issue surely a club like ours must look at is durability.
