My point is, if someone has a gripe, why start a new thread, put it in a generic topic.
By the way I don't have to read all that's written in the topic to respond to one post.

This thread is almost 6000 pages old. It’s bound to go off topic sooner or later. No one should take this thread seriously anyway.

Na it's my error, this is a signings and suggestions topic and I must have read something off topic that got me going.
I've since found my teeth and settled down.
Been looking through all the posts and there are some beauties.
I'm just feeling the pinch with us being negative.
Our opinions really aren't going to determine who plays next week but it's good to let steam off.
Having said that if To'a doesn't play this week I'm handing in my sheet of bubble wrap in and head north 🤜🤛

Andrew Johns ripping into Wayne Bennett for meeting with Kalyn Pongha while he is contracted to Newcastle is interesting. Wasn't he trying to lure Brooks to Newcastle promising to fix his game while he was contracted to the WTs?

I came on to raise this point . Glad someone else picked up on it .
Atleast with ponga he has get out clause so there is nothing bad being done . Brooks has two years and he is using his media profile to place pressure on club to get a player for a club he is consulting with and used to play .

In all honesty what the tigers really need is explayers or consultants in the media . Basically all the ex footy heads in fox and nine have association with a club and they all get favourable coverage and ripped by the media less as what is said on Tv ends up being the narrative run by others .

We only sign a handful of guys each year so in reality this page should lie dormant most of the year. So most of the time it’s just the diehards coming here to lament another day without a signing that will change the club’s fortunes. Sack Pascoe, sign Bellamy and Munster and give them an “ambassador” role for life with Meriton. That’s my suggestion.

I understand what your saying.
The problem is everything on one player is starting to get scattered all over the place.
If it's a similar topic to a previous one then put it in there so archives can be regenerated and we all could be educated going through the topic.
I have gone back to some of my earlier threads and said to myself,
'my god what dribble' or 'yeh that's cool' instead now we seem to have two or three posts on one and a couple on another but combined with the same topic theme it becomes good reading, imo.

Watched Pele play yesterday. Very raw but him and Stef would make a good aggressive combination into the future. Get it done.

Thinking about our team pics, we have picked the moneyball style players except the top shelf (who we cannot attract). Guys like Tamou, Twal, Leulia's, Hastings, even Adam D (who does have character)

What we don't pick is culture and attitude*.

He is a unit, perfect bash and barge style player.
We haven't had that since really Marty was with us.
He would become a crowd fav very quickly.
We need some impact from the bench and he could do that instantly for us.

All the excitement around Franklin Pele - He is playing off the bench in NSW Cup at 21. Not saying he can't make it but if NSW Cup bench players get us excited then no wonder we never get anywhere

Durability is his biggest issue. In the NRL players have to be able to play more than 10mins at a consistent level - I don't see him doing that anytime soon. For us if Madge stays, well getting 4-10mins out of a bench rotation even when injuries hit would fit, at least we would get some meters from a forward.

Side note the Sharks also have a huge forward rotation fully fit ahead of him, he is 21 going on 22 - Tolman, Fafita, Finucane, Uele, Rudolf, Hunt, Williams, Talakai, Nikora and Wilton.
