Instead of having to watch Scumo, how about a leader with a plan for the future of our country. Albanese has to deliver if he is elected. Howard lived off the economic reforms of Hawke and Keating, Gillard worked wonders in her short time as PM. But Whitlam achieved so much -

Equal pay for women.
Social welfare reforms.
Extricating diggers from Vietnam
Medibank
Needs based funding for schools
Free university education was briefly available
Voting age reduced to 18
Advance Australia Fair replaced God Save The Queen
Land titles handed to the Gurindji traditional landowners
Dept of Aboriginal Affairs set up
PNG became independent in 1975
Racial Discrimination Act conferred rights to equality

Turnbull was a true Liberal, not the conservatives we see today such as Scumo et al.

As always the coalition will have the support of vested interests who have power and money. Our current federal government are both corrupt and incompetent and truly only look after their very rich supporters. The coalition themselves will probably only spend as much as the opposition but it is the 85 million plus that Palmer spends trying to reelect them and the bias of the Murdoch media which will hurt. What Murdoch wants the LNP will always give him, Palmer just wants more mines and he knows that the LNP will rubber stamp them no matter what.
Australia is well out of step with the majority of the world when it comes to climate change and the continuation of the LNP is the worst possible result for us all as they will not even attempt to tackle the problem just continue with their lies deception and actively make the problem worse.I can only hope that Labor actually delivers in this area as they say they will.
Albo has been lukewarm so far which is not great in getting the trust of the voters and he needs to improve his performance and not just read the polls. We need change and leadership at the federal level which we have not been getting.

Albo seems like a really nice guy and a good guy to sit at the footy with and have a chat to.
Problem is not the bloke you want running the country and moreso his friends (Tanya, Wong, keneally, Bourke, Chalmers) and partnership with the Greens

If there's an ALP partnership with the Greens, it seems no one has told the Greens. Bandt has already run down the ALP at the NPC for being a visionless party. They rely on kicking the shit out of the ALP to leech the far left votes out of the ALP. It's not all bad though, the ALP should embrace that and to move closer to the centre and hopefully that would mean that identity politics and culture wars bullshit won't dominate their policy.

It would seem they have learned somewhat from their last campaign and are going to leave tax cuts and investments alone and are instead going after the multinationals. If the ALP geared policy to look after the run of the mill worker and small business owners, the Liberal Party would never get elected.

oh ok let's forget about minority government with Julia Gillard
please, Greens have said they will not vote with coalition so they will vote with Labor.
It is a coalition Labor and greens
This election doesn't have that same whitlam or Rudd feel about it where change was inevitable, Albo is about as electable as shorten was.
If ALP looked after miners properly they would win seats like Hunter Valley etc instead in the back of voters mines is a deal with the devil will need to be done and that is the greens

the debates will be critical, don't think Albo is up to it but time will tell he and his advisors have a while before the debates to practice.
Albo needs to remember
Rabbitohs = Very Good
Inflation = Very Bad

Watch Adam Bandt's press club speech from this week. They have no alliance with the ALP and he was extremely critical of them.

The coalition have zero interest in miners. Only in mine owners.

For starters Press Club say no more a rails run every time for the left.
So greens will not vote with Labor rubbish
what the greens will not do is not vote with the coalition on anything

Albo is as clear on economic matters as he is border security and off shore processing
Each way Albo
At least Shorten Rudd, Gillard stood for something

You're mistaken.

Forum leader is a new thing and only moderators have had that tag as of yet.

Didn't mean to interrupt your meaningless petty argument, just wanted to bring some clarification to the accusation.
That's about as owned as you can get 🤣

The worst part of the election is having to face the Christian fundamentalists from Shirelive (Scumo's church) at the local school with all their posters, signs, placards and intense looks on faces. It is a little intimidating as I'm sure it is meant to be. Strangely at odds with the democratic process of voting.

I think Tragic that the next election may not be as easy for the 2 big parties to predict.there is for and against for both of them and I think a lot of voters may find it easier to vote for an independent because of not having confidence in either...
I see there was a poll out today saying how most voters feel all politicians are corrupt, thing is we only have 1 vote and it doesnt matter where it goes we seem to get shafted by whoever gets in anyway...
