It also brings the defensive line infield which then allows us space on the edge.
At some point Laurie would get the ball as well and something will be on.
 
Line-up named assumed to be playing, our WT will run out with a better side than last week and having wanted Madden on the bench since back round one am happy with that. Hoping that the injection around the middle of other than the ineffective Peachey will pay dividends.

Like the rest of you, not a happy camper on many levels with the WT, but I for one will be watching and cheering on every player in our colours come Monday afternoon.
 
Does anyone remember the last time Brooks played at 5/8? Not sure if it made much difference..

But Hastings seems to have the leadership and football smarts to be an improvement at halfback. Brooks with the pressure taken off could improve too. If the reigns have actually been handed to Hastings we might look completely different, for the better.

Maddern has been first receiver alot numbers mean nothing
 
Odd that Brooks has been playing 5/8 last two games and near on zero runs, yet he is named at 5/8 this week to unlock his running game. Is he suggesting that Madden wasn’t able to do his job as a halfback or having Madden along side him he still had to assume some control.
I think Hastings being senior enough and confident enough in his role has forced this change.
Just thinking about the line up if it remains we may see a spine interchange of the following at stages in the game.

in the Roosters trial he played a 5/8 role to Hastings at 7 and we played well
