Are Tumeth, O'Kane and Saukuru any good? They seem to be playing in a team that gets lapped most weeks. Don't watch any lower grade games so don't know the answer to that myself, just curious to whether any of them would offer more than Garner.

I would love to see us get Jack Williams from the Sharks.
Paul Gallen type player (without the grub), does his job, great work rate and fills that lock position nicely.
He is also off contract and would not cost alot.

Tumeth and O'Kane are really good prospects. Kautoga is another excellent prospect from the very strong Cronulla juniors. Let's hope our development system is up to the task of getting the into the NRL.

What our system is lacking is an NRL first grade environment for good youngsters to step into. Ours (currently) is like a frying pan.

It's one thing to grab players from winning cultures but its another all together to bring someone who knows how to be apart of a team struggling and then learn how to win. Those players are very rare. Hastings though is showing some top line qualities. It's early early days but he has been very impressive so far.

I think him and AD on the field together after a few games will be great

These are the weeks Sheens needs to announce a Nikora or a Herbie signing. Build on the momentum that a win over a top 4 side generates. I’d be much more likely to get to some games and buy a jersey etc. if the club were to seize these moments.

No but the signing was a huge statement for the Goldie. It was the first time an inform player chose to join a lower profile team than the Broncos in south east Queensland. I’m not surprised they almost made the 8 that year.

They did make the 8 since. So it ultimately worked along with the tino signing etc. you could argue the overpayment for a pretty lazy player wasn’t ideal though. Can’t see them going up to top 4 without some luck.
