I'm all for extending Garner, I've never bought into the negativity on him
He's probably our best hole running back rower, his defense has improved out of sight and I always see his enthusiasm when we score, he's first to jump on the scorer and is a cheerleader in our team
Never underestimate that, I recall when we lost Gibbsy, Ryan and Heighno, they took a big part of a positive culture with them and team spirit went backwards
Not saying Garner is the same situation but he looks a real team player to me
If the numerous promising guys deliver maybe they take his spot but I wouldn't undervalue what he brings and has shown for a number of years now

a similar story as with Momirovski, Momirovski is good enough to play for the Storm, Penrith, and Rorters but we are smarter, we picked up J Leilua, Roberts, and Gildart instead???

I think we should extend Garner ASAP..
He can also play in the centre if injuries happen and the way he acted when the FG went over on Monday night showed he cares.. He was jumping around with pure excitement. He is also not going to cost a massive amount so the clubs needs to pull the finger out

Guess that means no more All Blacks dream then as he'll be 29 when the deal ends. Can't see the Knights winning a title in that time either, so I hope he buys a nice house at Merewether and puts the feet up.

I think Munster will sign the big money deal at the Dolphins, unless the Storm manage to get their contract + TPAs to within 100K or so. Remembering that he has a couple of Storm mates heading there already, so he won't be without friends. Also if he does go to the Dolphins, will we finally see the Storm fall off (like the Broncos have)? Would be nice.

Me too. Nathan Cleary 2nd, despite all of atrocities his father committed here.

I love how they all laughed at Gus's 5 year plan that turned into a 7 year plan or whatever...

What they've built there will last for the next 20 years... Cleary's there for the next 10 - the off shoot from that alone will see them in good stead for the next 2 generations of kids coming through.

Tommy Turbo is an exceptional player but if you look at his legs they lack definition and is a reason why he's injury prone IMO eg hamstrings. So that would be a no from me.
Mine would be a Payne Haas [if he could stay out of trouble]

Let's be serious who wouldn't pick Munster on $1mil over Brooks & AD on over $1.2mil+ combined.

problem with Momorovski Was we wanted Laurie early and Penrith would only do that by swapping for Momorovski
hindsight is wonderful thing but think Laurie was an OK get

I'd say we are more in need for a fullback but still holding out for Laurie.

Think recruitment focus should be on second row, 13 and centre.

No way I would shop Doueihi. He needs to be in our side. A leader and assists with the positive culture movement. He can essentially play centre, FB and in the halves.

you would move on Douhie and Brooks for Munster at 6 for sure. Douhiexmay not get back from injury yet and when he does if we are going well it may not even be at 6. Then you have 650k tied up in a centre and 850k to 900k in Brooks

move Laurie on and Douhie and play Munster at fullback then when Brooks contract ends Munster plays 6
