What is the latest figure being thrown about to pay out the French for the latest Defence disaster from the current Govt - $5.5bn? Imagine how that money could be better spent on health, education, flood mitigation works and relief.
That's the trouble when governments start printing too much money.

They make poor choices on a whim.

And now with the U.S. dollar gradually losing reserve currency status the collective west is in a hurry to reverse QE.

It's going to make the penny pinching of the 80s look liberal in comparison.

There's a difference between a positive slogan and a negative one. I expect Pepsi to boost sales by saying how good they are and increase brand r recognition rather than saying "coke is woke" or something banal.
But at least Kevin was pushing some ideas.
Kevin’s one of the brightest out there.

Really appreciated what he did recently with Murdoch and his interviews with friendlyjordies is 👌

Yeah he was an ideas man.
Good old Kevvy….

It did indeed, and what a flock they were in voting in a government that even with his flaws, would lead the developed world through the GFC as the number one economy in the OECD, along with high rankings in other areas as so much of the world fell into deep long recession.

All that despite a structural deficit left by the Howard/Costello government that would be a handbrake on the country for the best part of a decade and the current iteration of the coalition now has us once again in structural deficit reaching all the way out into the foreseeable future. Having already doubled the all-time national debt before Covid arrived.

The not insubstantial $5.5 billion for not getting anything, let alone submersible that @pawsandclaws1 mentioned earlier, sadly is just a drop in the ocean compared to the overall future cost that includes obscene waste and corruption as a result of this current mob. Maybe Gerry Harvey and other donors they gifted should give some of our tax dollars back and put it towards the $1.5 billion for the new Darwin port to replace the one they leased to China.

For those such as in recent pages that may also want to pretend that facts are not facts, as Adam Bandt said the other day in response to another gotcha question; "Google it". Else use your search engine of choice.
Hahahahahaha. Poor delusional soull.
