There is of course the fallacy trotted out by Coalition that they are better economic managers than Labor. The handling of the GFC by Labor and the fact that Keating and Swan received world wide acclaim as the world's best treasurers suggests otherwise.

If that is not enough, we have net debt double under the Coalition.

Swan lol
Keating was a good treasurer

Don't really want to add to our previous battles but I think it's a pretty low tactic to belittle the intellect of those who favour Morrison and the Coalition. By all means prosecute your argument but don't do it by belittling the IQ of your opponents.

I'm not going to state it's a fallacy but one of the reasons I'm voting labour is for better economic management.

You have to take the emotion out of the situation and be rational.

I'm being harsh in that I see how much our debt has increased by and the Liberal government have done this. Maybe Labour would have been worse. It doesn't really matter to me though because I know that this liberal government are poor economic managers.

I also said I was voting against Liberal because of that stupid religious discrimination bill. I don't think discrimination (and that bill was discriminatory) has any place in Australian society.

Interestingly the local Liberal member must have been one of the Liberals who voted against that bill because a pamphlet turned up at my house stating that we shouldn't vote for her because of that.

So on the flip side I am extremely glad that I have had her representing my electorate.

He was fantastic. Extremely right wing at the time but 100% correct. That government played a massive role in Australia getting ahead.

The idea Liberals are good economic managers isn't backed up by the facts as I see it.
he was the only good treasurer Labor has had

Maybe but he was the best Treasurer by far Australia has ever had at least in my lifetime.

If you are a believer in small government and good economic management I don't think you can vote for this Liberal government.

When you add to that issue the reality that right wing supporters around the world are creating culture wars and Morrison played that game and is still playing it to me it's an easy decision to make.

Okay this is going nowhere. If you want to have a conversation I'll have one. There are a few neocons on this forum I've had good chats with. Your choice I suppose.
You can’t whinge about it one way and accept it the other.
For the record, I have zero want to talk anything with you regarding politics. Carry on
