Walker's try..

Still can't believe how Johnston forced his way over the try line, held up by five defenders but still managed to push the ball for Walker to score.
When is a tackle completed? I must admit I thought once he was held up, that was it (and maybe our defenders did too) until I saw the ball pop out...so as long as you are still wrestling, the play is still alive??

Been this way a while now but for some reason the refs take wayyyy longer to call held when someone's over the tryline.

It's stupid but that's how they do it nowadays for some reason. What's bad is that there's 5 defenders there and no one wraps the ball up

Until the ref calls ‘held’ in that situation. Mind you he bobbled the ball twice into our players which gets called a knock on if Wests tigers score like that.

Yeah I was a bit grrrr come on guys 5 players and no one wraps the ball up...but also thinking the same.

Last week nofo shrugs off a kick chase in the in goal area straight away and it was deemed to have been a complete tackle on the ingoal area and a drop out. He was barely held and could easily have run back....a little different to this but still...

I missed the game last night unfortunately looked at the highlights, was thinking the same thing, he was definitely held, good thing is now we are winning against 14 men

I agree one of them should have done more to totally wrap up the ball but he kind of just squeezed it out, it was practically a knock on/lost control

They can’t wrap the ball up when a player has basically dropped it and squeezed it out at knee level.
He was held and there were at least two knock ons after that. It is also possible that a Rabbit interfered with the defenders. It was messy as hell and absolutely should not have been awarded. The bunker looked at it in ultra slow motion. At normal speed, he was held then forced back, then dropped it.
It could have been a Tigers penalty, it could have been a scrum set, it may even have been a Souths penalty if the stupid ref called held when he should have…certainly not a try. Not good enough from all the officials.

Yeah that certainly wasn’t a try but lets not forget we scored on the set of a knock on that never was lol

You win some you lose some, it’s about how you recover from them

We got lucky there. I reckon the Ken offside call was worse. There is no way you can judge how offside someone is from that shot unless it's clearly offside. They actually said his right foot was in front of the kicker. It was madness.

Joke of a decision. Held...and held..........and held. The positive to take from it was there were actually 5 defenders there desperate to stop the try. Where do they get these incompetent officials from??

Yeah i hear what you say, we had some unlucky calls too

Funny reading Rabbits forum, they reckon they were robbed too…hahaha

Sitting on your arse with no momentum held by five defenders is about as held as it gets. After that it is dropped ball (with multiple knock-ons) or stripped. Then the decoy runner impeding defenders is arguably obstruction. Bunker apply the "rule book" and cardinal red and myrtle green Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon black, white and gold, so Glory Glory to Souff Sinney. Annusley comes out on Tuesday with the Chewbacca defence to justify. Rinse, repeat.

Jai Arrow touches the ball while he’s in motion and pushes it back to Johnston. No Try
That's the way my one eyed tiger eye saw it.

Didn't realize that it was Arrow at the time but saw a Souffs player's hand touching the ball and pushing it forward which to me constituted a knock on or even interference with the ball warranting a penalty.
