I think it’s more the principal of being lied too as well, but I’d even bring him in as a 6.

Brooks has been good (so happy for him), but let’s remember 2 weeks ago nearly everyone wanted him gone. Hope he stays consistent.

Bringing in a player like Schuster 20, he can start the next rebuild as one of our halves and I’d be super happy for that.

Im a fan of his but I don’t think it’s worth losing Doueihi over. With Brooks on nearly $1M next year and Doueihi on 600k+ there is a large chunk of the salary cap tied up in the halves.

I think we have other positions that need strengthening first.

I’d love us to get a Campbell-Gillard or Fisher-Harris type front rower to partner Stefano.

Schuster is unhappy because he wants to play 6. That’s not going to happen here so why would he move?

I think if the club sees Hastings and Douehi as our long term halves like I do then Brooks playing well is the best time to swap him to Newcastle or Dogs for a front rower as he is worth more now then he was 2 weeks ago.

Id take a swap with Klemmer or Thompson plus we open up some cap space.

Yeah, positions wise, another second rower to partner Papali'i, which Shuster is playing already.

Yep, I thought that too, but have you ever heard Billy SHLater schpeak? I think the spine works when players know their moves. Brooks is a move player. Yes, he may not be a directions guy at 7 but he can see things at 1 and yell the F at guys instead of trying to be Einstein at 7.

I can see Doueihi playing in the centres when he returns. I can also see that within that same structure we name a centre on the bench and replace a middle forward within the game and move Jackson in-field and Doueihi in field and play with 2 five eights with Jackson as a ball player in the middle.
