And Aitken.

All 3 could do a job for us.

I'm not sold on Bird though.
Has too many injury concerns and seems to have a big ego.

Another player that would be worth investigating is Corey Allan. Rationale being:

- look at Corey as a big bodied, hard running Centre
- can provide cover for Full Back & Wing if necessary
- Experienced & SOO quality at best
- Bulldogs may entertain to free up salary cap space given they have a bevy of Outside Backs
- We only entertain if Bulldogs pay portion of salary
- Managed by Sam Ayoub who Club has strong relationship with
- Corey may think a fresh start elsewhere may resurrect his career

At a pinch he can play in the centres or halves if needed

Got to be weary of signing too many ‘anywhere players’ and ‘just having to find a spot for them’ there’s value in utilities but you want a master of 1 to lock down a position.

If it goes well then we need to find a spot of Doueihi, probably centre…

Do we then need another centre with Talau, Kapoea, To’a and Doueihi all available in the back line?

We do need a back rower but isn’t Bird very injury prone?

I wish we had more duds like Bird

He’s a tough bugger and his only real setback at saints has been the injury he copped on the weekend

Would be fine on a moderate contract I reckon, but if he’s chasing big money I’d say no
