Also the Bennett factor plays a part amongst his Brother being there.

Has he really been any good for us? We've not won a lot of games with him or because of him and he's always injured.

The guy is still absolute quality and would make our 17 every day of the week, even his saints form has been pretty good imo. Brisbane got the raw end of the stick with him because of injuries, but Saints have got a guy that lifts his team mates and always goes in at a million miles an hour

He is a childhood friend of Hastings aswell.

All 3 could do a job for us.

I'm not sold on Bird though.
Has too many injury concerns and seems to have a big ego.

Another player that would be worth investigating is Corey Allan. Rationale being:

- look at Corey as a big bodied, hard running Centre
- can provide cover for Full Back & Wing if necessary
- Experienced & SOO quality at best
- Bulldogs may entertain to free up salary cap space given they have a bevy of Outside Backs
- We only entertain if Bulldogs pay portion of salary
- Managed by Sam Ayoub who Club has strong relationship with
- Corey may think a fresh start elsewhere may resurrect his career

At a pinch he can play in the centres or halves if needed

Got to be weary of signing too many ‘anywhere players’ and ‘just having to find a spot for them’ there’s value in utilities but you want a master of 1 to lock down a position.

Do we then need another centre with Talau, Kapoea, To’a and Doueihi all available in the back line?
