Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We have been quite creative at getting 4 on 3’s using Hastings deep into the line and playing out the back.

A. Hastings will get a broken nose soon
B. Wingers will start racing in and clobbering the last passer

That’s my tip.
Having Laurie helps.

This week will be interesting with our injuries saints have a decent team on paper.

Ken is lethal in the air but he still doesn't play the 80 minutes..Goes in and out of games. I like him but he just coasts alot. Like Nofo last year 🤔.just feel our wings need to be on the top of their game.

Toa can play wing, centre and fullback? Why can't he be the no 14?
To'a looked good in the centres, he's got a bit of speed it sucks that Laurie had to get injured

Top clubs always seem to have quality fullbacks so I agree, another specialist would be good.
After the trials I thought Dillon was a goodin.
What the hells happening with him. Does he think he's better than reserves and gone looking.
Something is not right, I smell a rat, and it's not my slippers.

Tonight's a good time to watch Nikora to see if he worth 650k
Not needed after tonight.

Daejarn Asi apparently joined the Warriors this week from the Cowgirls. I think we were looking at him at one point. Its a shame as he has talent.

Anyone thinks of playing Doueihi at centre needs to realise that he would be one of, if not, the slowest centre in the comp. And you Simply cannot play him alongside Maumolo or Noffa. It's suicide to play two slow players side by side. If Doueihi plays centre we need to find a winger to go outside him. Maybe Peni
from 2019:
The fastest player in the NRL · 1. Josh Addo-Carr 38.5 km/h · 2. David Nofoaluma 36.7 km/h · 3. Latrell Mitchell 36.6 km/h · 4.

Why do people say Nofoaluma is slow? Sure he isn't as fast as he was, he is still pretty fast.
I really don't get it, Defense is our problem on the wing not Speed! Ken M is still pretty good. Yes both David and Maumolo have slowed a little, both are still pretty fast.

Hey happy to send a winger to the glue factory if both have slowed down. But we signed a 500k 5 year contract on Nofo, so it's going to be expensive glue we would be making in his case. Maybe we shouldn't have done that but we did....

Wingers, were fine and if were not we have made our own nest.

Come on.. we know the history. If he had his time again he would of done it differently. I think he he could add something and he could help the jnrs coming through
I’d do a lot of things in my life differently to if I had the chance but no one gets that opportunity so you have to live with the consequences of your actions. Not welcome

While true, I reckon if Tedesco wanted to come back we’d all welcome him with open arms

With woods, he is just an average player and all the added baggage just amplifies how bad it would be to bring him back

Not needed after tonight.
I agree. If you go purely on tonight performance you would have to say no.
I have watched a lot of his footy because he is very much like the rock of the Warriors in Curran. Also his stats tonight were surprisingly good.
Put it this way, if we were to sign him, I wouldn't be slashing my wrists.
I think the 650k might be overs, what do you think?
Before you make a decision, google his YouTube highlight package.

IMO Woods did the most damage to the Wests Tigers brand during the "Big 4" era. Nothing made us look more like a second rate club then our captain leaving the administration on read for months of negotiations, publically pursuing opportunities at multiple clubs and doing an extremely selfish unenlightened tell all interview which painted the club in an awful position.

He was a Tigers junior, our most capped representative player and had took on the baton as ambassador of our club though captaincy. He basically flushed any respect the club the had in recruitment circles down the toilet while wearing the armband.

I'm so happy Madge didn't welcome him back. We need to set our value, show that we are a club that deserves a positive public image. Taking back Woods is the professional equivalent of taking back the ex that proudly boasted about their promiscuity. He doesn't just get his fairytale just because it's the morally "right" thing to do. He is a declining below average forward who devalued the club while holding its highest honour.

Well written, my thoughts exactly!

If you could possibly forget his behaviour as WT captain during the whole 'big 4' saga, I do not see his value as a footballer. I can't believe he got the St George contract. He does nothing in attack and can be a liability in defence.
But, in my opinion, you can't forget what he did. As a club we need to stand for more than that. His disloyalty should mean he never has a role with us as a player or in his after football life.
