Yeah that was rugby league 101. You don't take a quick tap when you're in attacking territory unless you are a halfback or you are certain you can score. One of the reasons Cameron Smith is the GOAT is because he understood all these basic things. Melbourne always take their time setting up shape before taking the tap.
