We are in all sorts of trouble roster wise for next year.

We have more Hookers signed (AK,JL,JS and Rua) than Backrowers to say how bad it is.

1 in and potentially 6 of our best forwards out (LL, KT, JT, LG, TM, JO) and right now zero forwards in the pipeline who can step up for next year.

Stefano, Twal and Musgrove are it. We think our depth is bad this year right now it looks to be worse next year.

Blore we can't bank on and Seyfarth isn't good enough to be a NRL starter, ok depth player.

We probably need to hope we can trade a hooker & half for a forward if any club is willing to do that.

I hope everyone can see how bad this situation is.

Not much talent available on the market, I know Pascoe and the club - and this is 100% factual - are into waiting and seeing what situations happen at clubs allowing players to become available. Monitoring situations.

Now I'm not sure that's the best way to do business as that's more discards like Maumalo.

However, we're all aware dogs have issues and need to shed to make room. We should be asking questions and NOT for their favourable offloads like Dufty and Vaughan.

What about Tommy Talau in the backrow he is big enough he is 189cm and 92kg, to slow for the wing but could go alright in the backrow.

We have zero strategy around our roster right now.
It's a massive concern, player managers and clubs know it.

My view is we need someone fresh which right now is the perfect time as no cleanout is needed.

A new coach comes in with no expectations for next year, plenty of cash and roster spots available for the next 2-3yrs to mould the roster they want. We also have 2 of the best players in their position coming with Stefano locked in as well.

Madge has actually moved us into a worse position every single year and we need a new direction.

Strategically I would go for Ciraldo. He is next cab off the rank NRL coach wise.

He knows the Panthers pathways and NRL side better than anyone.
He also helped setup a chunk of the pathways activities

Sure he didn't do it all on his own but he knows what is needed and has played a big part in making the Panthers a success.

We aren't going to be able to buy a premiership through getting NRL stars and pathways/young talent is going to be a big key.

Panthers can't afford to keep all their players current and pathways.
The players have a great rapport with him & speak highly of him.
We would get some astute pickups I feel. Be it for next year or the year after.
We have Api coming which he works closely with which would help game plan wise as a huge amount of the panthers game plan which he controls works off Api eyes up footy.

How can they possibly outbid us? They have Turbo and DCE on million dollar contracts.

They also have a few forwards who are probably better than anyone on our roster (Schuster, Olakatau, Taupau, Paseka, Jurbo). We are also 600k under the cap?

How on earth was it a financial thing? I think more that we have undervalued some with enormous potential and Manly have seen it.

Do we really know that for a fact? I am not so sure he would want to work under Gould again. Offer him a 4 year deal. Cant do any more damage than Madge. I like Madge. I like his passion and work ethic. The simple fact is he has not worked for us. We need something to happen now to start the ball rolling. I am so desperate to see change I would even consider Flanigan.

Ciraldo was asked in the off season he said no most likely will be Bulldogs next coach after Barrett

It'd be good to see some kind of improvement.

Seems to have slowed down since his head knock a bit and also defensively Slimy Mitch got the better of him a few times today.

As for the tackle, absolutely nothing for him to worry about. Cant believe it was put on report.
 
Highly overrated this guy. The sooner he goes to Manly the better.

Not sure how it came through on the TV, but watching live I felt he let us down badly yesterday, and his lack of effort helped Manly score 3 tries, effectively costing us the game. His dropped ball on tackle 2 attacking Manly's line right on halftime when we were a man down was unforgivable for me. Lead to Manly's 3rd try, resulting in 14 nil lead. 8 nil at half time and I believe we win this game, although Toa's dropped ball after our 2nd try was very costly also.

I thought he was lazy covering the inside when Tola set DCE for that try.

And the 3rd, was his complete lack of effort to help Simpkin out when Alioai scored. He left the young hooker posted.

No workmate in this guy either.

I don't rate him. Garner has twice as much heart.
