Oh come on, really. Replace him with who, Roberts. On that I say yes, and the back up to Roberts and his bung legs.
How can we build depth if we don't BUILD.
People were saying that about Peachey too. "He's no good, get rid of him" before he's had a chance to settle abd get used to players and the system. Against Manly he was put on early and played good, should have had 2 tries but 1 denied, and racked up 60 SC pts.
Are you telling me Gildart hasn't improved.
He had more SC points than any other back with 85, To'a 84. Only Offa had more with 94. The rest if the team were around 50 or less.
He and Garner ran the most, over 100.
The coach said at the start of the year he will be a work in progress and in my opinion he is improving.
He has faults, blind freddy can see that but I can see talent that is untapped.
Or we do what we have always done, let more players go and start again, and again...
I’m not fussed about SC points. I watch the games rather than look at the stats.

He gets thrown into touch regularly and cannot make his tackles which costs us tries every week. That is why he’s a liability.

Fair enough, you are just focusing on errors, the whole team is not faultless, he's not a total cluster or as you stated "a total disgrace" goodness me thats harsh.
He has done some good stuff and is improving.
Agree to disagree.

He's done some good stuff - And some outright horrid stuff...
He's played for his country, He shouldn't be dropping the ball for no reason - Running around lost in defence... And surely he's got something more than a left foot step?

He got wrong footed by a bloke who was held by another defender on the weekend...
It's almost like he's running away from contact on purpose.

I also watched it again this morning and I'm the same, SC is a guide and he was not as bad as you say. I think 'you need to watch it again and look at the circumstances that led to problems on his side. Kepaoa was more of an issue in that game that gildart.
So what were your suggestions as far as selections go for that game anyway?

Which incident are you talking about being wrong footed. I want to have a look while I've paused it

The Try Brook had put on him...
He'd come in past the play (Not sure how that happens on our line) and had to turn back to still miss contact.
I didn't watch it again - That's how I saw it when it happened...

Interested to hear other thoughts on it.

Gildart is scared to tackle and looks about 59kg soaking wet. He should not be anywhere near our first grade team, I would rather have Ronnie Palmer at Centre/wing.

I agree Cobar. He's already bagged a couple of tries (I'm including one that was unfairly taken off him). He needs to work on defence, and he will adjust to this over time, but at the moment he is a bit of an easy scapegoat.

We were shot, they either scored inside or outside… yes, should always force to the outside as it’s harder to dot down. He had one of his customary lapses but as @Cobarcats stated, he’s definitely improving.

Good stuff, is there anything else you want me to check that your basing the whole game on as a failure and he won't improve? That sounds nasty no matter how I say it hey 👍. I'd rather not go back and forwards checking. My original posts are saying that this guy is improving, scored a nice try and does some good stuff. As the other member said to he's shite and not improving, is what I'm trying to resolve.

Mate if you just watched that can you give me a gane clock time please

Mate, You can pick any moment he's on the field for us...
I also saw him get a bath in Reserve Grade.
My opinion is based on the rubbish he's dished up for weeks now.
If he's improving - I can count on one hand the people who can think it.
(including him, And both his parents)
I would suggest moreso the team is improving, And he's benefitting from that....

I still see him get monstered in attack, Clueless in defence and taking poor options when he has the ball... Running himself out of room, His Hail Mary plays...
I get physically ill with Anxiety watching him...

Okay I'll indulge.

9th minute: Ran side ways to be taken into the right side touch line.
16th minute: kicked on 3rd tackle when we were on the attack.
27th minute: danced around Ben Turbo while he scored Manly's first try
47th minute: bamboozled my Manly's back up centre who sets up DCE for a long range try
60th minute: tackled no one as Ben Turbo scores again

If that's not enough for you, he leads the NRL in try causes and line break causes despite not playing 80 minutes every week:

As I said, a liability.

All in probably what's NOT considered his worst game....
