The Try Brook had put on him...
He'd come in past the play (Not sure how that happens on our line) and had to turn back to still miss contact.
I didn't watch it again - That's how I saw it when it happened...

Interested to hear other thoughts on it.
Ok, mate if your referring to the try Ben Trbojevic scored in the 13 min.
DCE runs at Brooks, 3 on 3. 15m in 25m out. Koula marked by Peachey, Trbojevic marked by Gildart. Gildart is on the outside shoulder so not to get burnt by a cutout pass, all good this stage.
Dce commits brooks by running to his inside shoulder pops a nice pass to Koula who cuts inwards and Peach attempts legs tackle instead of ball and all. Could have been stopped there. The winger is holding back for the cut pass. Gildart jeepibg an eye on him, good!
Inside D from Tomas Mikake just walking, no help.
Finally Peach brings him down but gildart had to retreat to be onside. After play the ball Peach couldnt get back. At this stage we have 4 defenders to take care of ruck, Dce pops another short ball to trbojevic in the gap created and brooks cant bring him down, To'a not helping, gildart has unmarked winger that he had to worry about while 4 defenders are in the screen basically doing nothing, kelma is just back a bit not showing any urgency to get back and help. At the last secord Gildart has to leave his winger unmarked because he sees brooks cant hold him, as he cones into assist ben who held by tg6e jumper spins in the tackle and goes towards touch line and too much momentum to score. Gildart initially saw the threat on the inside couldnt change quick enough to turn back.
Verdict: Lazy inside defenders, back tackling technique by inially peach and Brooks and not Gildards fault at all.
Next issue.

Pretty good analysis mate.

All in probably what's NOT considered his worst game....
Ah for arks sake ive just spent 20 min of my life waisted on critique try in the 27th minute which is not the one you were talking about, ill look at all you other stuff when I've had a cuppa.

Mate, You can pick any moment he's on the field for us...
I also saw him get a bath in Reserve Grade.
My opinion is based on the rubbish he's dished up for weeks now.
If he's improving - I can count on one hand the people who can think it.
(including him, And both his parents)
I would suggest moreso the team is improving, And he's benefitting from that....

I still see him get monstered in attack, Clueless in defence and taking poor options when he has the ball... Running himself out of room, His Hail Mary plays...
I get physically ill with Anxiety watching him...
Running himself out of room, well if on two occasions the winger realized this a gave him the inside option instead if running into touch with him, hang on I'll be back kettles boiling, keep going, got to get rid of all you anxiety 🤣

You took all of that to say Gildart mis-read the play, Bolted in off his wing to totally over run the man with the ball...

Much like most of his dart outs in defence, Just to totally miss everyone.
Us being short on that side - Doesn't change his in-effectiveness.

Best to respond to W'Tiger man post - He got most of the game for you...

Hey that's enough young fella, I'm entertaining you, if you dont want other people's input just say from the outset, it's hard tapping away on a mobile phone and stop starting foxtel, I disagree with what you said on that try that I looked at, dont be nasty, I haven't been to you.
Put me right off now.

Okay I'll indulge.

9th minute: Ran side ways to be taken into the right side touch line.
16th minute: kicked on 3rd tackle when we were on the attack.
27th minute: danced around Ben Turbo while he scored Manly's first try
47th minute: bamboozled my Manly's back up centre who sets up DCE for a long range try
60th minute: tackled no one as Ben Turbo scores again
To be fair any of our backs would be similar reading to this - who let in all of the other tries?

Followed by another good analysis of a different kind.

It provides a reasonable explanation, not excuses. Please try to read and respond more clearly to the OP.

Surely Gildart gets dropped next week. We can't keep having him get exposed so brutally in the NRL. Maybe time in NSW cup will help him get his bearings but he just makes sooooooo many bad decisions in both attack and defence. Has the brain the size of a pea. He's not first grade standard, having above average pace isn't enough to make it in the NRL. You need to be Koula levels of quick to have your other deficiencies ignored. His 3m hit ups working off our line and awful defensive plays and constant brain farts. If nof and Ken are playing wings, i'd easily have Peachey ahead of Gildart at centre. But with Kepaoa in the mix too Garner may end up moving back to back row to cover for the awful Tuilagi.

Been saying it from the first game, not NRL standard. Give young Tupou a go on the wing next to Kepoa, watched KAO Cup and he has talent and a big body.
100%

Gildart was always a gamble but its come up snake eyes.. or craps. Whatever the shit result is on that dice game.

If that's not enough for you, he leads the NRL in try causes and line break causes despite not playing 80 minutes every week:

As I said, a liability.
Thanks mate, I've got nothing to do tonight so ill check all that.
You still haven't told me what your selection alternative was for that game.
Do you think all this anxiety is worth it though. Do you really think he's the cause of the loss, considering what happened in the leadup to the game
and are you sure you haven't seen any improvement in him?
I see your referring to another table?

You seem to be combining 3 different arguments man...
I've got nothing more to add - He'll be dropped - Again, (Or go home) when we get 1 or 2 more back... That will end any arguments.
The fact we have an "international" centre - Getting shown up in the position by our back up second rower the last few weeks is more than enough for me (And most here it would seem)
