Being used a s a pawn ain't bad as long as we stick to our guns with the value of the deal. Give a take it or leave it. Give a timeline for a decision as well. 3 weeks should be sufficient.

Luke wants marquee prop money and we already have Musgrove signed longterm, and looking to re-jig Tamou, while Joey is unhappy at Canberra. Crichton likely iffy

Having Papalii and Chrichton on the edges would be amazing for us, but is it worth taking up that much salary cap? Maybe if Brooks takes a haircut it could even out...

Taking up the salary cap? We have Mbye playing for another side and we're paying him 400k to do it. Getting a rep 2nd rower on decent money is fine by me.

Hearing Matt Lodges management has reached out about coming back to WT next season

With Tamou and Mika moving on, Lodge for the right price could be good business.

Taking away his off field history. His on field efforts have been consistent:

121 mtrs, 43 post contact mtrs & 2 offloads a game averages over last 2yrs.
His tackle efficiency is around the 90% & his error rate (handling/penalties) aren't high.
He has aggression which we really lack outside of Musgrove in the forwards as well.

Wouldn't be against it and TBH would prefer Lodge over Thompson as well.

Ill discipline and doesn't do the minutes.

He's ok but rather go elsewhere.

Let's not forget that Matt Lodge was contracted to us when he went on his New York rampage. Would be terrible optics to sign him again. We would get slammed by the media. Not good enough of a player to warrant bringing those skeletons out of the closet.

Out of the available / pushed to market props of prehaps, Lodge, Tapine, Tapau, McLean, Hass, Thompson, Klemmer. Lodge is in the top 3.
Family in Penrith area. Tigers did support him through the New York drama I’m pretty sure, didn’t leave him completely out to dry despite no longer being contracted to the club.
