Okay I'll indulge.

9th minute: Ran side ways to be taken into the right side touch line.
16th minute: kicked on 3rd tackle when we were on the attack.
27th minute: danced around Ben Turbo while he scored Manly's first try
47th minute: bamboozled my Manly's back up centre who sets up DCE for a long range try
60th minute: tackled no one as Ben Turbo scores again

If that's not enough for you, he leads the NRL in try causes and line break causes despite not playing 80 minutes every week:

As I said, a liability.
thank you for being a voice of reason

Thats great to try and show up a guy who has played what 7 NRL games, got switched to wing to cover an injury and did score a try with some good footwork...
He was always going to take a fair while to come good at this level,ESL is different to this...
BUT now that you seem to have stats and be able to call players a liability after only 7 games in NRL,could you please show me the stats on Joey L while with us on huge money and a reputation of being the best centre in the NRL...
Dont just single out a bloke who is trying and has travelled halfway around the world to TRY and make it in the NRL,the toughest comp in the world, while we had a bloke who had the world at his feet with outstanding ability and wasted it and our SALARY...

He's supposedly an international centre, who is 25. If he doesn't have it now, why will he improve?

Please don't make out he's a 19-20 year old having his first few games in first grade.

BJ was crap with us. Happy?

I think he has it now, he just has to learn to adjust defensively. He has already shown more in attack than some of our other centres and bagged a couple of tries with some good footwork. He's only played what 7 games and in that short time he has been moved about and those around him each week have changed repeatedly in those 7 games too.

How many have came and failed,he is at least here to try and do what he can to improve his career nobody that I know said he was going to set the place alight...Madge even said he will be a work in progress,if he doesnt work out he can go home with a greater amount of experience in rugby league at the top level...
He maybe an international centre within their tier comp but even the Storm could beat an English rep team or French rep team, once again it all mounts up to the quality of player available at the time...
I enjoy your input mate, even if we differ on opinions....cheers....

It's very hard for any outside back from the super league to come here and succeed in the NRL. It's not personal against Gildart, I just don't think he has the size or skill to compete in the NRL.

I guess we'll agree to disagree. Appreciate your opinion though mate.

It is curious that as a rule their forwards come out here and kill it and their backs come out here and get killed. I don't fully understand why.

You're right - The Storm could.
But he's been shown up by the Titans and Warriors....

Ok, had my dinner and checked what you "indulged"
First of all Gildart is traditionally a right side centre and was in the first few minutes thrown onto the left wing because Ken was belted. Kepaoa stayed on the right with a crook leg which hampered him for pace and played poorly.

9th minute,
after a previous good run, Gildart makes another run across field looking for a runner or a gap to straighten himself, manly's defense was good and pushed Gildart towards sideline, Gildart realises the danger of the touch line and body language indicates he was begging Kepaoa to come back inside, Kepa kept running sideways and would have run into grandstands, more dumb play from a supposedly sound winger..not

16th minute,
after another great run down the sideline, Gildart looks for support and he sees infield Hastings waving his arms about signalling to kick, so he does with his wrong foot and kicks poorly but makes the effort to make the first tackle on DCE who had caught the ball.
Yes, he kicked on the third and will learn from that, but as I've highlighted there were mitigating circumstances.
27 minutes
Already covered that, not his fault.
Kepaoa lets in soft try, sorry we're just bagging Gildart!

47min.
After coming back to his side of the field he is faced by Manly's speedster, Gildart is mindful not to get burnt on the outside so he ushers him to turn into 3 WT defenders, good.. manly winger spins around and Gildart makes a good tackle but the other defenders drop off especially Peachey, noone chases. Kepaoa with his bung thigh left hobbling infield. Peach will his experience should have reacted and covered that inside play to DCE.

As I watched all that again, I picked up more good effort things from Gildart and more poor form from others.
Once again you've found your scape goat.

Wow you really like Gildart to go to those lengths to defend him and blame others. I disagree, let’s leave it at that.

Now you're just making it up man.... Seriously

Gildart is a Left side player - Has played majority of his SL on the left (Basically all of it),
Has played for us on the left.

You'll do well to find footage of him on the right.
