Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Left, right it don’t matter if you can pass both ways. We want the player that can play on both sides.
By the way Aitken has been playing on the left this year.
But as I said it really only applies to halves who can benefit from being on the side that enables their dominant kicking foot to be facing away from the defence; For example; Brooks, Munster, Wighton.
If you are right handed you want to play on the right side of the field. You carry the ball in your dominant hand and fend with the other, most people change direction better off the dominant side. Even kicking is better because the kicking leg and ball is behind the other leg and more protected when facing 45deg towards the sideline.

this kind of argument has bn going on as long as ref,s have bn stooging games, they are proffesionals why cant they kick, pass left, right foot.fk they bn doing it all their lives, who the hell has bn coaching them,if not themselves, hit a nerve,my toof hurts, lol

You tell our edge players that they all have kicking licences and they don't have to kick or tackle if they feel uncomfortable. 👍
A bit left field mate, but I get you.

Agreed....
I tend to think you have your big buy prop - And the other guy who does a job - probably not a top tier rep player on much less money...
Same with 2nd row, Centres & Wingers... Even halves to an extent.

Although, Parra are getting away with it (Somehow) 2 Well paid Props - Matto and Lock Well Paid - Both Halves Well Paid....

They've kicked a couple goals wit Penrith still kicking in for RCG & Waqa - Getting Papalli for a couple hundred k... They won't get that kind of leg up again....
How was it a leg up? It’s good business…

You can be left handed and right footed. There is no hard and fast rule. Just as you can be right handed and left footed.
Either way. I agree with your comments in part and yes there are preferred sides but just about everyone in the nrl should be able to pass in both directions accurately just as just about every spine player in the nrl should be able to kick decently off both feet. I really don’t think a dominant side from an individual application perspective is relevant. If anything players will be positioned on particular sides due to team harmony or cohesion.
Think about Lucy. Played both sides and ended up being moved so that he was on the opposite side of the field from his brother.
Hasn’t been moved back since.

Exackery.
What if your left hand and right foot dominant but cant kick unless your right hand drops the ball onto the foot and you can punt kick with your right foot but can only drop kick with your left foot.
Now for tackling, what if you can only tackle around the legs on the left shoulder...................

that kick you described is a penalty against for 12 teams

I don't know what I'm talking about now. I hope people are asleep so they don't read my dribble. I'm watching Who's Line is it Anyway. Colin and Ryan are cool. Nothin else to watch, no footy to talk about, how many days to go before we play the cowboys

don’t think he is that long out of school.

Did he go to Joey’s , which is only a couple of KMs away from Holy Cross.
Notice he played for Holy Cross Rhinos , then into the Balmain Tigers.
guessing he also played a descent level of Rugby as well.
I'd say he's maybe 182-185cm, currently maybe 95kgs.i chatted to him earlier in the year, was about sand height as me, it actually struck me how small he looked. Still lots of filing out to do
