I didn't belittle you, I asked you nicely and it was blown way way out of proportion, I even opologized to you, I dont know why but I felt obliged to.

but just bag Gildart because you can....give him a chance,you gave many other players on big money plenty of chances for NOUGHT....

Gildart is very deeply English bred in his football. He would love the muddy conditions Sunday night.

Wrong mate...I said ask Cobar because he "took offense to it" because he thought I was putting the Lebanese down..this post was more to let people know where and why it started ....It had nothing to do with you belittling me or me to you,just that the mods took offense also and it blew way out of proprtion...
I really like your input mate and if you notice,I never belittle or use condesending tones at any forum members,never have,never will...people who know me on here also understand....the trouble with me is I call a spade a spade whether that is about football or other topics of conversation...cheers...

I appreciate that, it's the way you led the guy into it, he formed an opinion straight away based on how you put it across. I'm not hurt by your post, I'm hurt more by what others now perceive of me.
Done now, time to move on.
Let's try to get others to put to bed the Brooks topic, not holding my breath though. 👍

He is dogshit and I have said before this is a professional sporting team not a charity, at least the others you mentioned can do the fundamental of tackling. Gildart might be a good bloke but he is no NRL player but you keep deluding yourself.

I will clarify things for you Nuts,I never stated he is an elite NRL player...all I said after 8 games give the bloke a chance to adapt to the game after being in ESL so long,they are different...He may have to spend hours on the tackling bag or with Cayless,but at least let him try to prove that he can help our team...
As for this being a business and not a charity..maybe discuss that with Packer,Mbye,JRey and Mattalino....Blair also comes to mind...

Just to add to this his defense was poor in the ESL. He can create something though.

I don't think he makes our top team but it might take a season or two for him to get it together.

He is become a target because his defense is puss.

Those other blokes were crap as well, but at least they could tackle. Gildart needs to spend two years on the tackling bag before he is even ready for reserve grade, he is the modern Eion Crossan, who can't kick goals.

And I did say he needs to spend some hours on the tackling bag and with Cayliss...hopefully can can find some improvement in his defense...after all if he cant improve with both Madge and Cayliss at hand then maybe its back to ESL....

Unfortunately its a results driven business and we can't afford to hold on to hope that project players can come good... in first grade.

Gildart is not up to standard and quite honestly neither are the likes of Jet, Pauga, Talau or AJ.

It's disgraceful fans have the attitude we must allow players a chance or the Brooks talk, after 150+ games MAY improve and do something to take us to finals.

None of the heavy hitter clubs would persist with such average players IE - Brodie Croft at Melb, hell... even Broncos didn't persist with that guy either. Writing was on the wall....

Yet, here we are.. reading support behind players like Brooks.... and Gildart.

Unfortunately fans opinions ... support or non-support of our players have zero effect one way or the other...on the Club..

What I find disturbing is that fans turn on each other depending on these opinions.. something I'd expect fro Doggies or Slimey Eel fans tbh.. each to there own..

Yep, well.... rugby league fans are a passionate bunch, no matter what team they support.

Some expect results and others think everyone should get a trophy no matter how poor they are, year in, year out.

Nature of the beast.

Roosters are great at this. Loyalty is only rewarded if the players are winning

Shouldn't focus on an individual player especially when the overall squad is poor. The squad has been poor for a decade. Squad building next year so think you can start focusing on individuals next year.

Further depth needed in second row and centre.

Focusing on Brooks and co is very subjective. Old argument blame club or player can go around in circles hence this forum.

Umm Brodie Croft was at storm in nrl for 4 years, Gildart has been with us for 8 games
