Todd payton was a great player for us. Smart player and now smart coach. Lots of people called him a white ant. Well he's has turned cowboys around in 12 months... We have have Madge.....

Don’t blame Madge for the mistakes the club made in 2014-15 when they didn’t want to take a punt on Todd.
As far as us not looking at him instead of Madge when he was available in 2020, Todd’s first choice was North Queensland due to family reasons. I’m not sure he would of looked at Sydney at all.

another week where I am so so proud of my football team. injuries and dud calls continue to plague us and we continue to stand back up. this year is done in terms of making the 8, but we are putting the foundations in place for something special in the coming years.

lastly, Junior Tupou. I saw enough in 80 minutes tonight to know he is special. the way he moves across the ground and in the air is not something I've seen in a Wests Tigers jersey in a very long time. he'll go back and ply his trade in Cup but hopefully by the end of the year he's made the transition and is ready for a year of first grade come 2023.

It was great to finally see him in action.
He did some good things but he lacked somewhat in the effort areas.
He was seen walking at vital stages but more game time is needed.

I was thinking to myself last night it was a bit of a strange choice to carry Pauga on the bench if we were playing Peachy in the centres. I would have had Liddle in there he could cover 9 and the whole backline really he has enough pace and Pauga is pretty useless.

i just think it was a useless spot on the bench in Pauga, im no Liddle fan boy but i reckon he could fill almost any backline spot in a pinch and hooker and still be of more use than Pauga.

I don't understand why we don't kick off like dce did against us, all the empty space from the 10 metre line to 10 metres out from the try line, enough land to build a block of units as gus would say.

I agree that Liddle could offer some utility value but the Club (and maybe himself) has him pigeonholed as a Hooker. I think he'd be good as a modern day Lock (off the bench) and even backup Half if required.

Just watched it again and I thought Kelma was a passenger at times and our 2 Juniors dropped off in some effort areas. Junior T showed promise.
It was energy drainage conditions, high humidity and hot, took it's toll on some of our guys.
Losing Brooks drove in the death nail, it meant opposition just targeted JH.
Hate Brooks or not, he does a lot of cleaning up in D and the team felt him not being there imo.

Puaga's effort at the end sums up his night when JH put up a bomb and Pauga didn't sprint to put pressure on the receiver, basically trotted up there.
Those are the effort areas, the 1%'s as they say the NRL level is all about.
