I’m really looking forward to a healthy blore and tommy T move to the back row . I think he could be something akin to what Schuster has been for manly . That’s more 2023 , but still , that and Papallii and potentially Angus and API , as well as Naden and all of a sudden for not much money , we are an infinitely better team .
Junior Tupou will be a star . If not here than somewhere else .
The last time I thought that was about Papenhuyzen. That kid was the best player in the comp and how we thought he was too small is baffling .

Don't WT have to decide on whether to extend Blore and Talau first, as I thought both are out of contract this November?

Been a bit of mud thrown at other players for not getting through their banner over the years - I'd expect Twal to cop a pissling here....

I’d extend talau first . He’s proven he’s a first grader . It’s just that simple . Blore , and this isn’t a judgement , is being paid for what he may contribute in the future not what he’s done . Its just that simple IMO.

Picking a half for their defence is like picking a car because you like the fabric they use in the boot of a car. It's at the bottom of the list of things you should care about, just a bonus if they are a good defender.

To say Brooks is some kind of big upgrade on Madden outside of his defence is ridiculous. He's not a good player. Not at any position except maybe if he got an extended run in the 14. He tries his hardest and is a good person, but just not a great half. Absolutely expendable with Doueihi, Madden and Peachey in the squad.

Agree.
Stuff Brooks defence, Madden already looks a better half after only a small handful of games. And he has one key element Luke doesn’t - potential.

Easy enough to do it in a win over the spooners. Let's see how he goes against Souths. It is genuinely the first time he's ever done anything good in a first grade game. I hope he kills it and gives us an option if Brooks were to leave.

He played alot better than Brooks in those early games during Jackson's suspension I thought too

Seems a lot of debate Brooks vs madden . This year Brooks defence improved a lot but in attack very regimented pass kick etc. Madden is playing "eyes up footy " playing what he sees take the line on find gaps more instinctive . Also using not much of our cap where Brooks using 10% +
