Plans for the good life

Wouldn't mind living on some farm land and just enjoying the quiet life watching footy hanging out with mates
When I was in Wagga,I lived on 5 acres,3 bedroom house ...had my 2 horses, some chooks for fresh eggs,my blue heeler dog and a stray cat...
when I wasnt working or at the rodeos,I had a bbq area out the back under cover, many a lazy afternoon was spent after chores having some cold beers and snags or steak on the grill....absolute peace and serenity after a hectic couple of weeks....

If I end up with enough money I will buy somewhere on the coast,I love the sea and the ocean breeze...hopefully a golf course nearby...
sidenote...I also can re grip and shaft clubs, maybe I could set up a workshop and do a bit on the side as well....

I like the idea - I thought about acreage before buying a 1,600m2 block on a slope. Glad I did - it's enough work let alone if I had 2 - 5 or more acres. You also have to spend quite a bit on machinery to do the work. Mate of mine who has 100 hectares spends 2 - 3 days every week doing something (he is a workaholic though).

Twal anytime try scorer should do it.
Slightly off topic but I had a feeling last week against the Dogs the the defense had an eye on him close to the line.

Maybe he has featured in a few opposition team talks re him going for a try.

The way it's going if he scored and someone misses a tackle they may be investigated by the betting squad lol.

I know on here we have lots of people with ages that are far and wide but im just curious young and old whats your plans once you retire/hang up the boots ? Travel all around Oz in a caravan? Go fishing wherever possible? What's the plan for the good life
I am considering obtaining a Malaysian Govt visa which permits the purchase of property. I would like to live on the island of Penang again. It's been quite a few years since I have lived there but I always did want to return. I love the climate, the beauty of the country side and the people.

Still got the young kinds in school,

In a few years I wanna leave my corporate job with the bank and work with my two sons who are becoming developers.

My kids are 8, 6 and 2, so I haven't got much capacity to make plans for my retirement just yet. Knocking our house down this year; will stay here until the kids are grown up, then see.

Unlike some other ppl I like Sydney and I've always been a big-town person. Can't see myself ever leaving permanently.

My wife is Scottish so ideally we'd travel back to the UK for Summer every year, but not feasible with the kids being young. That's a long-termer, so ideally I'd like to buy a place in Scotland to stay for a few months each year.
