A superstar Winger who could look at filling in and transitioning full time to Fullback....
It's a shame no one would ever think of that??
Has a bit of Addo Carr to his game.

Think he isn't a FG #1 yet but would carve up on the wing.

Some one should get in touch....

He'd look good in orange.

I just want give a quick wrap to Joe O. I think his performances this year are going a little bit under the radar. His work load has been huge this year, doing a lot of the 1%ers and his ball playing has been steadily improving as well, short ball to garner this week was great.
I would not be surprised if he gets a call up to Qld next week.
I hope that we take up his option and give him another year or two, he's still only 26.
He took up his option for 2023 already according to reports which is great. I totally agree with you. He's been fantastic this year. I hope he stays a few more years

The indigenous orange jersey for sure...
Man - I'd look good in that!!

Jamayne Hopgood from Penrith will be heading to Parramatta, he was a player we were looking at
That is a shame as I rate him and he is a ready made NRL backrower right now.

At this point...Sheensy basically "must" have something up his sleeve as our backrow stocks are dire.

Papallili (who has had an enormous workload for two years)
Blore (off two knee recons + multiple other injuries. I rate him, but he is yet to play more than half a season without breaking down)
O'Kane looks the goods...but still a kid.

Seyfarth and co are front rowers, not 11s and 12s.

I.e. we have absolutely zero depth.

I disagree strongly with people's logic on here re "overs".

Overs is paying Josh Reynolds 750 for 4 years when all he had offered was 550 times two at the Dogs. That was insanity.

Paying big Angus 750-800 (150 more than the Chooks) is NOT paying overs at all...it is realising a need and adding a 26 yo rep level backrower who we need.

At this stage we are two backrowers short, and there are basically none of note left outside of Angus.

You go and get him every day of the week.

James Tamou

The Tigers captain looks set to leave the NRL at the end of the year with his management firm in negotiations with several overseas based outfits. Tamou’s experience and leadership qualities will almost certainly land him a deal.

Tommy first, now Jimmy....

Clearing the decks.

Need to get some incomings on the list though.

I ain't mad with it, thanks for everything Jimmy.

Agree. He's in much better form than when he was picked for QLD last year. Wonder if he'll get a look in.

Looking at the Fox Sports article on who's contracts end this year.

Chris Lewis from the Storm could be an astute pick up for WT to replace Garner. He wouldn't be big dollars and you'd still chase a top line 2nd rower to start but Lewis would be a handy pick up and interchange player that can fill centre or 5/8 if a mid game injury occurred

Probably a good way to extend his career, I thought he might retire. He can probably get a 2-3 year contract over there.

He is my sons favourite player. Watched him sun around in the state cup game when we played the Dragons a few weeks back. Absolute cut above that level. My son went up to him after the game and we had a chat to him. He was very polite and respectful. Couldn't say enough nice things about him tbh.

going with my gut, Angus will re-sign with the Chooks. Blore will finally have an injury free preseason and will become the player we know he can be on the left edge. we'll sign Matt Doorey on a 2 year deal on low dollars and he'll become our bench backrower, with O'Kane promoted to the top 30 and serving as cover.

there's been some whispers about Jackson Ferris as well, wouldn't be surprised if he heads over here as depth in the back row and centres.

It was mentioned on a sports show I was listening to, that the sprigs on some top brand footy boots are now longer. Athletes are looking for the extra one percent regarding traction, maneuverability etc. The problem is supposedly compounded by the fact that sponsorship deals prohibit the sportsman from altering the boots in any way because to do so would void the sponsorship. Don't know if there is any truth to this.
How would they know if you altered your boots? They wouldn’t
