Exactly. The bulldogs signed players in positions they didn’t need. Anyone can see their spine sucks and yet they released outside backs to sign more expensive outside backs 🤔

Funny you mention that,
I heard Braith Anasta say that SBW was the perfect example of a person backing himself and only signing 1 year contracts and that he’d never broken a contract . Wasn’t SBW the start of all this breaking of contracts when he ditched the bulldogs.

What does that say about Fox sports, to have people with rubbish talk like that getting paid for it as well, Anasta, Rothfeild, the fans make more sense than this lot.
It's funny when Anasta and the like have something to say news wise....

I think we are 2 'gettable' elite players short of having a team to take us into the future next season.
Those 2 are ... Joseph Tapine (front row leader, metre eater, good ball skills, high tackle efficiency) + Matt Burton (5/8, game breaker, huge kicking game, goal kicker).
Then we just add a solid back rower and put a focus on developing speed & power in outside backs through our pathways. Doueihi to play either Centre or Lock. Hastings extended. Brooks & Madden may have to be expendable.

Have to keep Madden from those 2 options. Brooks has had many years to show us his best but just lacks consistency, plus Madden is much younger and cheaper too.
You could honestly sit there and pick their stories to pieces, it embarrassing
We don't need to get into a bidding war to land Burton short term - We have Brooks and Doueihi here already...
One of them is already surplus to the 5/8 position,
We won't get him as a centre - If he wants centre money, He'll go back to Penrith.
First of all, We'd need to extend the Halfback... Or having Burton at 6 would be fruitless - Like it is at the dogs.
Tapine could do a job, As could the likes of Fataila Mariner, Hudson Young amongst others.
While we may not get a bunch of players for next year, If we can land some post November for 24, Would put us in good stead for anyone looking for a change in 23....

Agree, if we could jag 2 more top end signings similar to Api and IPap then it starts to look pretty good. Get key injured players back on the park and cross our fingers some of our juniors progress, even better.
Would take any of Tapine, Chrichton, Burton, etc in a heartbeat.
