Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The only prop who is/was worth anywhere near that amount of money was Beetson and Haas is not even close to his ability. He is a good player and worth about 800k max
No Offense to Arthur Beetson, NRL legend.
Props now are worth a lot. Lets give some modern examples:
Shayne Webcke - just a really solid bookend. Took massive unders and told Wayne just give me what's left over. Huge hard hitter and a key reason the Broncos made the finals in 2005. Add Thaiday and you see a massive aggressive pack.
Sam Burgess, huge boost for the south front row. Sure they are half family but they were the muscle that gave Souths their finals appearance in 30 years.
Jason T. Moves 200m per game, plays better then two people!
David Fifita/TPJ these are seen as the new style of tryscoring forwards. Just massive units. They are on the 1m mark.

Payne Haas has huge consistency and has been a major front row force for NSW.
Do we forget that Aaron Woods and Andrew Fifita got us to our last semi Finals appearance?
If we don't have the guys up front, we won't make the top 4.

I heard yesterday that in European Rugby, where the contracts are enormous, the highest salaries go to Locks, (second rowers) and next is Tight head props. Both codes need the big units up front to win.
Thats because the scrum is so fundamental to that backwards game.

An article from Fox sport just popped up about Hass speaking to SBW about contracts, the perfect person to speak to about a contract, DUMB AND DUMBER, next will be part 2 Hass speaks to Mitchell moses, but wait there's part 3, Hass speaks to Ryan matterson bwahahahaaaaa hahahaaaaaaaaaaaa
Fk me
Funny you mention that,
I heard Braith Anasta say that SBW was the perfect example of a person backing himself and only signing 1 year contracts and that he’d never broken a contract . Wasn’t SBW the start of all this breaking of contracts when he ditched the bulldogs.

There were a couple of beauties:-

1. We absolutely need to get Finucane. He is a forward leader who is worth whatever you pay him.
2. Pay Stef whatever he wants.
3. Hastings will be a dud.

We'd be screwed now if we were managing the team. Thank God for Tigers management. They're are doing so much better than us.
God called, he said he didn't want to be associated in any statement with WT Managment. He deserves better.

Even Foxsports recorded it: "It ended with an infamous walkout on the club."

What does that say about Fox sports, to have people with rubbish talk like that getting paid for it as well, Anasta, Rothfeild, the fans make more sense than this lot.

It's funny when Anasta and the like have something to say news wise....
None of them are journalists - They try to talk like they are, And there's been research done etc.

I think we are 2 'gettable' elite players short of having a team to take us into the future next season.

Those 2 are ... Joseph Tapine (front row leader, metre eater, good ball skills, high tackle efficiency) + Matt Burton (5/8, game breaker, huge kicking game, goal kicker).

Then we just add a solid back rower and put a focus on developing speed & power in outside backs through our pathways. Doueihi to play either Centre or Lock. Hastings extended. Brooks & Madden may have to be expendable.

100%
Have to keep Madden from those 2 options. Brooks has had many years to show us his best but just lacks consistency, plus Madden is much younger and cheaper too.
