I think we are 2 'gettable' elite players short of having a team to take us into the future next season.

Those 2 are ... Joseph Tapine (front row leader, metre eater, good ball skills, high tackle efficiency) + Matt Burton (5/8, game breaker, huge kicking game, goal kicker).

Then we just add a solid back rower and put a focus on developing speed & power in outside backs through our pathways. Doueihi to play either Centre or Lock. Hastings extended. Brooks & Madden may have to be expendable.

We don't need to get into a bidding war to land Burton short term - We have Brooks and Doueihi here already...
One of them is already surplus to the 5/8 position,
We won't get him as a centre - If he wants centre money, He'll go back to Penrith.

First of all, We'd need to extend the Halfback... Or having Burton at 6 would be fruitless - Like it is at the dogs.

Tapine could do a job, As could the likes of Fataila Mariner, Hudson Young amongst others.

While we may not get a bunch of players for next year, If we can land some post November for 24, Would put us in good stead for anyone looking for a change in 23....

Agree, if we could jag 2 more top end signings similar to Api and IPap then it starts to look pretty good. Get key injured players back on the park and cross our fingers some of our juniors progress, even better.

Would take any of Tapine, Chrichton, Burton, etc in a heartbeat.

Hopefully we can build a team who can win the comp. Not interested in nice guys who are soft. Not interested in someone because he is acceptable but cheap. We get what we pay for. ATM with the team we have…lots of nice guys, cost effective only problem is won’t win you a comp only maybe the wooden spoon. Get some mongrel!!! Is truly needed for 80 mins a week. We have a better roster next year. This year you could have engaged all the coaches in the NRL and probably wouldn’t much better off than we are now. Missing Mongrel & Magic!

Size is needed WT.

- Klemmer is getting on… long in the tooth
- Tapine is the perfect starting prop
- Bench rotations have been extremely poor
- Brandon Smith might push Crichton out
- Blore has the right defensive attitude

I’d get Sheens overseeing everything until seasons’ end and have Noddy/Gardiner coaching a lot behind the scenes, see if the change in clubs direction/harbouring a positive workplace culture has a causative effect on any of the aforementioned players signing?

We need a Prop, Backrower, Center and Fullback.

I like Laurie but just don't see him being a long term fullback, he looks more like another fullback who will turn into a 5/8th Mbye style to me.

Tapine or Klemmer would take either + we are a bench impact prop short.

Backrower is a big problem, not many ideas on how we fix this hole - we have Blore & Papa next year that's it we have massive risk this year in the backrower and next year the gap gets bigger.

Center we are all sorts. JTJ who knows how he will come good, Burton could fill the void but would be on half money, AD could fill the void but depends on if he slots into 5/8th or not & doubt he would stay on as a center when he wants to play in the halves - lets be real how long do we give Brooks to get us wins & compete.

I agree with ur picks , but get real there is no hope we get them , we can’t get cheaper options, I would love to know who is in charge of negotiations and why the hell we are missing out on all these players
