Question. Is Ciraldo that great of a coach ? Like seriously does anyone know ? Or has he just been around the best junior crop to come through together since the sea eagles and the Stewart brothers , Foran etc.
eg. for me , it was obvious AF that when you watched the u20s team that Todd Payton coached , they were an extremely well drilled outfit for that age group .
So it’s no surprise that he’s a good nrl coach .
Same thing for Demetriou when he was in charge of the Shellharbour Cutters that ran the table .
Does/did Ciraldo have/had the same kind of “it” for lack of a better word .
I remember Bellamy had the same kind of hype around him when he was coming up , and it looks like Fitzgibbon , who was the last with this kind of hype , has “it” as well .
I guess for me Watching Barrett shit the bed at manly and now the dogs considering the hype around him , has me seriously concerned .

Also if Ciraldo is the guy , I feel like with the amount of cap space , and clear systems now in place for the juniors , as well as the senior team, having a rookie coach might be a goer if we have to change .
We were all screaming about how dated our systems were last year both in attack and defence .
I’d rather us stay the course , but I’m more seeing whether Ciraldo is all hype or legit a good coach .

After the review last year, you would expect Maguire was given KPIs to achieve. If he hasn't achieved the benchmark required by the mid review, is the club expected to forget the whole process?

Only if its a fair revue considering the amount of NRL quality players that have been sidelined for the last 12 rounds....but Im sure you would have considered that before you plunged the sword into Madges back...

If you're asking me.. if Ciraldo is a good coach... my answer to you... would be: I doubt it.

I think he'll be Baz 2.0 and they look good at Penrith because of how special the playing group is.

I'd be incredibly reluctant to give Ciraldo a head coach job like that because I don't think he'll handle the pressure or the task at hand.

So what...every time we have great kids coming through someone else gets them...we need to develop,educated ,condition the kids and finally find a way to keep them...thats the key indicator...
