Noffa has been a stalwart for this club and one of our best attacking weapons......but does anyone else think he's let down Madge in his so called 'hour of need'
Did Noffa's indiscretion causing him to be dropped affect our teams performance and outcome against Souths.
Maybe not entirely, but it does seem, looking in, as a kick in the guts to Madge. Thoughts....?

Something with junior development is you can't just put a program in place and expect to see fruits immediately, or even within 3-5 years. Your program needs to develop over a long period of time and go through multiple generations.

We saw at Penrith with guys like Moylan, Latu, and Cartwright. Imagine if they pinned all their hopes on them. They didn't turn out to be great players. But that's okay, because the program was new when they came through. By the time guys like Cleary and Luai were coming through, the program had been in effect for 5-6 years. The systems that Moylan and Cartwright learned, while similar, would not have been as sophisticated as the ones Cleary and Luai were in.

Right now all we really have is Seyfarth. As the years go by, we should expect to increasingly have more guys coming through who are ready-made for first grade. These guys should have learned and developed within our programs through each level. The final product is first grade, but at each level they learned a little bit more of it. E.g. at HMs maybe they learned about dieting and weight training, then SG ball they learned about how to live as an athlete, then Flegg you are expected to behave as a professional even though you aren't one yet. (just some examples, not sure what actually goes on)

Pathways development is something that requires a huge amount of investment in resources, infrastructure, time and management with. It's why these things are never a quick fix and why alot of clubs haven't mastered it or over time they master it for a period then drop off because they lose respect after they get value from it and cut costs.

I think we are in a great position to drive this, the reality though is we are years off the 1st wave to come through but our planning needs to ensure we just don't have 1 wave we have a continuous wave building and we create our own climate change event raising the performance levels and expectations & something we rarely can say success.

You know what kill’s me is when they say that Madge can’t bring player’s to the club. We can never bring player’s to the club it’s our club not the coach in charge. Tim Sheens struggled to bring players we had to get Gareth Ellis and a few others from England

Most top line players would look at our facilities and extra party deals and just laugh.
The COE could become one of the most important things our club has ever invested in.
Followed by future investment in our pathways setup.

All these things take time, we are at least actioning them to try and have a fighting chance at being competitive in the future.

What I believe will happen is they will sack Madge; Hastings, Api, Papali, Douehi some others will leave, or get out of their contracts and we will end up with Paul Green as coach. We will have Brooks and Madden in the halves, Nofo on one wing and finish 10th for the next two years then 15th after that, then we will sack the coach again and start all over. Great times.
please no Green, but with this Wests board anything that is rediculuslous is possible.

We've been very disappointing this year, but I think Madge deserves a shot with Papali'i, Api and a squad not completely wrecked by injury.

Especially when there are very few good coaches around and we'd have to pay him out.

See out this shitheap of a year, build what positive combos we can, see how next year goes and then yeet Maguire back to Wigan if plans don't improve.

I have no doubt that Frothfield, Hooper, Crawley and other inbreds have multiple accounts on this forum. It's the only way to explain the ass clowns that appear from time to time with their faecal matter.
It’s the Kazoo Kid

I like your thinking!

Just saw Back door Bennys interview on fox. I know many hate him,and at times he is way over the top. But he was a great hooker who changed the game, but he knows talent and business. His comments about signing Flannigan i agree with. Forget the peptides bullshit ,we need his tough and intelligent style to take us forward. He has been around the best sides recently, and Madge looks stale. This just my humble opinion.
