Gus didn’t name names…

But he’d have a few managers in his ear atm. Has about 6 mill to spend in 5 months…
If the journos are hearing Madge is getting sacked and it’s on the money - why wouldn’t Gus be hearing that there are players who won’t stay on if we sack Madge?

And why would Doueihi stay just cos he’s a junior - when did his loyalty become so important to him… he left us to go play for Madge at south’s - left south’s to come lay for Madge at the tigers…
Maybe you’re mis-reading his lotalties
Yeh good point on AD. The way he has spoken in the past saying he loves the club, one time he said he was glad to be home.
So that's where I'm drawing my assumptions from.
Everything we read or hear is open to interpretation though.
Gus is a powerful man and a manipulator of truth.
I wouldn't put it past him that what ever he says about WT, Madge other coaches and the signing of players is all in his own interests.

There might be players who want to come because he’s left.

We had at least two years of player issues with him being too harsh and all of that.

He was meant to have calmed down a bit this year.

We’ve lost the NZ connection. He could well end up with the warriors. They offered him a deal before.

For the record, the best interim coach is Seibold, the post Madge specialist. Parachute him in for the balance of the season.

Obviously Sheens was appointed by the board to steer the ship. I'm happy with the appointment even though disappointed for Madge in the sense it feels like we culled one of our own.

Seems recruitment was the issue.

No use blaming the board unless you don't like the appointment of the head of football....Sheens.

Jury is out on Sheensy.

I said yesterday, I would have hoped he would have been in everyone’s faces since he arrived, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

To some extent, Madge’s departure reflects poorly on Tim.

But Tims sincerity and heartbreak was readily apparent and he’s had a tough tough day.

He looked like he’d rather be Kiev than in Sydney.
There was even a bit of grace about it.

Unnerving but appropriate.

A new coach is exciting though. Right or wrong, the pulse beats a bit stronger.

Anyway, new coach is always quite exciting, Madge got a proper cash thank you and Tim was very protective of him.

There was even a bit of grace about it. We are going to have to get used to that. Unnerving!
Change is not always easy to accept, especially if I was against it, looking back in a couple of years hopefully we can say it was the right decision.

Yes.

I’m not one of these people who gets everything right. I’m happy to be proven wrong and if we fail, I’m not going to spend the next three years whinging about Madge.

Life is too short.

Onwards!

What is this "fold the joint" crap coming in today?

You are truly really genuinely posting on a supporter's forum that you want the club to discontinue? Piss off
Too right.

My last submission tonight is that I’m pretty desperate to see the lads jog out and play.

I think that’s probably how most of us feel.

Sheens is a myth.
God help us find a miracle with whoever comes next.

COVID delaying his arrival last year probably delayed everything.

We will see what he comes up with, he probably needed 6 months to settle in.

I think the appointment a good one.

But yeah all the wrap will be on him if things don't work out.

Anyone care to save me some time reading through these posts and tell me if any of the usual 'insiders' has posted anything with insights on who we're targeting?
Not sure I can be bothered reading through all those parts otherwise, nothing that hasn't been said a thousand times already

Feel very sorry for Madge tonight. Can’t imagine what it would be like to be sacked so publicly. He tried his best and gave it im his all but at the end of the day it just didn’t work out.
Our new coach will have my full support no matter who is appointed but Geeze we really do need to get this right this time as I feel we will lose a whole generation of young fans if we continue down this path of mediocrity.
My boys who are both under the age of 7 both realise that the tigers are losers.
Unlucky for them though as they have no choice or say in who they support 😂.

Someone me tion it's terrible timing.... I don't think there's ever perfect timing to Sack acoach
Make no mistake announcing this the day before origin 1 was no coincidence... It will largely get pushed aside
If the timing of the announcement was to give overloaded media jocks more work?
I think the timing of the sacking comes before a few easier/winnable games. The team gets a win or two which makes the change easier to accept.
