WT Ownership, The Board & Senior Management - MEGA Thread

Interested to know peoples thoughts on the new narrative about playing and developing these up and coming juniors that McDonnell and sheens are sprouting. The wording around Madge’s sacking suggest to me that he had his favourites and wasn’t getting results, and wasn’t prepared to play or develop these kids in the near future even though in my opinion none are ready anyway. Was this decision made to break up a selected group that included Madge and a few senior players that had been influencing Madge’s selections and evaluations of certain player performances, I’m not sure? Do sheens and McDonnell want full say in who plays and who doesn’t and Madge wouldn’t allow that, is kimmorley merely a puppet for Sheens and McDonnell? I don’t have the answers just thinking it will be interesting viewing in a few weeks re team selections and you might find 2 or 3 of these under 20’s kids in the top grade by seasons end?
“Madge had his favourites,” is a tag that doesn’t fit his fiercely competitive, task focused behaviour. I would think those who were speed bumps would be out of favour?

Maguire assembled it,
You’re hilarious mate! Cleary and Pascoe are responsible for this rabble. Madge was just another scapegoat
Pascoe and Lee H and Hartigan also involved in the signings and recruiting - again the heaping on Maguire now for the roster seems to have turned from those bagging him for his results. Hedging bets in case they don't perform now he is gone.

There seems to be a lot of dubious decisions being made. Example, why give a coach a 2 year extension, then proceed to white ant the guy at the start of that extension period?
It appears as though the board is in constant conflict with itself?
Some members not willing to accept the umpire’s decision?
It seems all too easy to point to the ladder position and say the results aren’t there.
Regardless of all the “talking up” of the club, I see the sacking of a coach as a negative move, particularly this coach, it reflects poorly on the organisation more than the coach who was sacked.
The so called review of the football department became simply a which hunt performance appraisal of the coach, in which the numbers were crunched, 3 wins, halfway through the season.
Let’s put aside the Bulldogs win and focus on the wins against Eels and Rabbits. Where did those two wins come from? Let’s just say it didn’t look good for those who wanted Madge out.
We’re now told not to expect results for 3 years as we try to copy the organisational structure and behavioural characteristics of the Panthers. Last time it was the Storm.
If we get the decision makers out of the removal dongas and into a new plush office change the way the decisions are made?
I agree

any west leagues members here?
Yes I am a member but I am pretty sure we have no control over the Tigers board.

You would have to first get elected to the Wests Ashfield board, or force a change on that board, and then the WA Board themselves decide who is on the Wests Tigers board. So you would have to win control of the WA Board to them influence the makeup of the WT Board.

Look at the WT Board and see how long-lasted those director are.
