Everyone is missing the main point here....we clear cap room.
Just say Mikaele and LL have cleared up 400 grand combined for 2022, you can now offer all of that to upgrade Hastings and one other as part of a long term extension.
Luciano was not going to help us do anything in 2022 from here.
The money saved may well allow us to upgrade key spots going forward. That is a big win.

That all depends on how long it takes for us to sign a new coach and the negotiations for said players. Other option is we bring payments forward from next year (Portion of Brooks $1Mil into this year to make it more attractive to move him)
Salary cap only runs up to end of October so unless we get deals done before then the extra cap space adds no value.
It's all a game of chess, just hope we have some one at the club who knows how to play the game.

Is this argument actually valid. We are already under the cap. I don't think you can pay players for instance 1 million dollars this year and nothing next year.
I don't see a big benefit.

Hastings on 350...can now go to 600 in return for extension.

I’m not sure what is going on but wow I can’t believe they just let him go , shows how weak we are , I’m even not sure bringing Sheens back is a good idea as he’s been away many years the game has changed and bringing juniors through has not worked , most clubs just poach , , letting Lucy go with zero return is weak and after all these years of no finals footy he declares we are ona 5 year rebuild and develop , I think they have forgotten where they are , it’s in the NRL. Best football in the world and winning is everything , we need a heap of talent not kids and a solid experienced coach , Ciraldo won’t get us out of this and neither will the kids ,
