Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Im really happy we have spare cash.

All we need now are a Experienced coach that never gives up and some players. A second rower that has a good offload is a good place to start.

Great work Sheenscoe

The cash can only help us this year unless we move money from next year into this or resign a player using the extra cash this year as an upper on their current deal.

Lets hope we actually use whatever benefit we get, assuming the benefit is just that Lucy is gone

Koroisau urges Ciraldo to make Tigers move

Penrith hooker Api Koroisau has encouraged Cameron Ciraldo to join him at Wests Tigers, declaring he'd love it if Panthers assistant coach made the switch to Concord.
Koroisau is currently in his last season with the Panthers, having agreed to a two-year contract with the Tigers which starts in 2023.
The coach who recruited him to the club, Michael Maguire, was sacked last week with Ciraldo the early frontrunner to take over the role.

Ciraldo has yet to hold a head coaching position at NRL level and he must now weigh up leaving a Penrith side underpinned by a steady stream of upcoming talent for a Tigers outfit that hasn't made the finals in over a decade.
Koroisau will be joined by Parramatta's Isaiah Papalii next year and said Ciraldo, who met with the Tigers on Monday, would be the perfect coach for the club.
"I'd love him (at the Tigers)," Koroisau said.
"Whatever he does, he is incredible. He's our assistant coach but he does all the defence and he makes sure we do it his way.
"He changes it up too, it (training) is never the same. He's always making sure the boys are paying attention.
"I've got huge raps on him as a man, leader and a coach. He's not a straightforward coach, he will change it depending on the situation and I think it's important to do that as a coach."
Koroisau learned of Maguire's downfall while in NSW camp and was relieved he found out through official channels rather than via the media.
The 29-year-old is likely to be included in Brad Fittler's extended squad for next week's must-win second game of the series in Perth.

He could well come into consideration for a bench spot to play in tandem with Damien Cook in WA after the Blues were picked apart by Queensland's one-two punch combination of Harry Grant and Ben Hunt.
"I got to watch the game in Freddy's box and that was a pretty cool experience," Koroisau said.
"You definitely see a lot more from the box and you can tell what we are needing out on the field. It (having two hookers) has definitely been tossed out there.
"Cookie's been doing a great job by himself and if Freddy did want to add me that'd be awesome."

But but he's not coming next year. Sack pascoe ect ect.

I would like to see Ciraldo as our coach but I don't think it will happen, in fact I'm 99% sure it won't. If he doesn't come then I'd like to see Flanagan in the job.
Now let me save you some time ... "boo", "hiss", "drug cheat", "player welfare", "should be in prison".
I know, I know.
I’m with u miss out on Ciraldo, go all in on Flanagan. With a view to Payten down the track, and let him know on the sly...

I would caution to expect nothing of the sort if Ciraldo does in fact become next Tigers coach.

Previous hopes of well-connected signings proved the undoing of the Tigers in 2018, and if anything, Penrith have shown their major strength right now is the cohesion of the playing group - very very hard to pry key players away.
It certainly won't be easy prying any of the top Pennies away from the foot of the mountains but we might still get a few of their quality up-and-comers who are currently blocked from first grade by Cleary et al

Luch was deadwood and of no benefit anymore to this season. We will never fully know but im guessing there is a little bit of professional curtesy that exist between us and the cows (sheens and payton have history at both) and the cows have more to gain this year. I highly doubt we would have been as accomodating if it had of been the dogs or manly.

For gods sake we are going to have more cap money than we can spent the way we are going . Can see us paying overs to players we already have to stop them from leaving , we may as well let the other two second rowers leave now , we are a joke , unless sheens comes up with some quality signings the club are going to lose a lot of supporters

How about we offer them the middle finger (where’s Hobbo), and sing you got nothing I want, you got nothing I need.
Unless Ponga wants to move from the beach lifestyle to the stormwater canal lifestyle of Dromoyne.
Atta boy, make this guy our chief recruitment negotiator!👌👏

No, I reckon every average player out there is looking at the Tigers team list and saying “I’d make that team for sure” or is it “foshizzle”, anyway, he probably got the idea off Naden.
Heard we were prowling lower grades in rugby Union.
