Wests Tigers Coaches

If we miss out on Ciraldo, Flanagan is probably the best of the rest on the bases of experience and past success and he's still actively involved in the game as an assistant coach at the Dragons.
Oh for need to have a crystal ball.
This coaching decision is one if the most important decisions the club will ever make.
Get it right and we could potentially end up as a super club.
Get the wrong guy an we are cannon fodder for another decade.
Man I wish it was Bellamy in the mix.
If we don't get CC
I'm leaning towards a younger ex-tiger in John Morris.
Someone who can guide the younger brigade.

Gus will click is fingers and CC will come running.
I think if that were true, then CC would have already been announced as the Dogs coach. That we've got Gus publicly speaking in riddles re: his 'fit' for a head coach role suggests to me that one party or the other is not interested. Either way I don't think it's going to happen.

It’s already a bit insulting it’s taken this long.

Hes either on or off the bus. The idling makes the engine hot and we have places to be.

I’d give him until cob tomorrow.

I mean if this is all too hard, he can chomp off to Gusland and be a stooge for that derelict self promoting witless flog.

Taken this long? We only met him face to face to open talks a couple of days ago.

This is a life changing decision for CC, you really think all it takes is 48 hours??

I think Ivan Cleary recent health scares may see him move into another role at Penrith with CC taking over as Coach in 2023.

Can't see CC being WT coach now with the latest developments.

John Morris appears next cab off the rank?
What happened to Ivan ?

Your right, but we said that when Madge was appointed coach 😊

Whatever the outcome, WTs has made an audacious bid for the most sought after coach who has never been an NRL coach. It is a good effort imo.
G'day Paws Is audacious the correct word? ie....showing a willingness to take surprisingly bold risks.......according to Google.

Do WT have the time or luxury to be taking a surprisingly bold risk on a coach that has never been a full time NRL coach?

Of course I do recognise that any of the coaches available atm are going to be a risk, as none of them seem to adequately fit the style of coach we desperately need rite now.
But gollee gosh, its a really hard decision eh!!!

It's a bold move, thinking outside of the square. He is young but comes from a very good club with excellent systems and junior development. His ability to relate to young players and the obvious respect the players have for him is the type of coach we need. I'm a dinosaur myself and unless you are excellent at comms. like Bennett or Sheens, it's time for a younger coach to take the reins.

patience. these things take time and quite frankly there's no need for us to have this sorted by this week or even the next. this decision is immensely important for our next 5 years and beyond. Ciraldo will need some time to make a call and Sheens and Hagipantelis probably have things they need to tie up. there is enough noise around the place to know that Ciraldo is interested, for now we play the waiting game.

It was a good post with a strong message and I stand by it.

If blokes abuse women, I think they need a shirt fronting.

In this case, Ivans stony silence was not good enough. Waves it all through and hides away.

Sometimes I work with victims of domestic violence and I’m not wearing it.

Brandy was furious, Luke Lewis stood up too.

She asked the guys not to film her and not only did they film her, they uploaded it to www. Now she’s mentally ill.

May and the Clearys aren’t the victims in this.

That’s my honest opinion.
In reference to him not being longterm coach at Penrith? Due to his DVT?

You’re entitled to your opinions but make it legitimate.

yep we play the waiting game while a potential coach is sorted and any potential decent player will be purchased by other teams before we start , not a great position to be in , and I don’t want to keep waiting on a finals run I think we all have waited long enough , 10 years to long , get it sorted , if CC really wanted the job he would have signed by now it’s his golden chance to become a head coach with some cap money ready to burn

Sorry but I’m out of patience. After 11 years in the wilderness I think that’s reasonable. Sheens has got a hide asking fans to be patient, like what does he think we have been doing for 11 years. If they can’t deliver now then he and the rest of the front office should bugger off.

Sheens isn't responsible for the ignorance from the likes of Jason Taylor, Justin Pascoe, Kelly Egan and Ivan Cleary surrounding our pathways and junior development. Hartigan began to clean up the mess and Sheens, Noddy and Matt Betsey have fixed it. right now this roster isn't good enough. plain and simple. we have some quality but it's scattered and at varying levels of first grade experience.

the consistent quality that exists sits in the lower grades. the likes of Fonua Pole, Justin Matamua, Michael Tannous, Kitione Kautoga and Lachlan Galvin are all potential superstars. the common denominator? they're all kids. I give it 2-3 years until the majority of the names I just mentioned become regular first graders, and we need to make a clear path for them. that's why we have to be patient.

Are you the forum cop?

Why should I do what you order?

What if my idea of what is legitimate is different from yours?

My definition of DVT is clearly different to your and totally right in my view.

Why are you you trying to control what I say?
I don’t do that that to you or anyone else.

Don’t like it? Don’t read it son. Matter for you.

People can make up their own minds and vote the post down, report or whatever. That’s fine.

I’m not here to dance to anyones tune except the mods!
