Brett Kimmorley
I like this guy. Sometimes we forget who he is and what a great player he was.
Having played for his country and state as a halfback, these are just a couple of highlights on an impressive resume.
When interviewed for his first coaching gig last week you could see the emotion in his eyes.
He has been so strong for so long, but his pain is obvious.
The former NRL star's wife Sharnie died in March aged 38 following an eight-month battle with brain cancer.
Her passing has left Kimmorley as the sole parent to four daughters: Maddi, Mia, Ava and Ivy.
He has said several times that providing for his children is his main priority in life....very admirable Noddy!
When Kimmorley was asked how WT can win a second half of football he said....
"It's hard to teach resilience or how to handle adversity, especially when fatigued — it's something we have to practise, practise, practise.
I want Noddy to have a chance to prove his worth as a coach and whatever happens, I hope he gets the rub of the green, the bounce of the ball and his life takes a turn for the better.....
I think he deserves it don't you?
