Wests Tigers Coaches

I have had time to think this coaching job over,to me I dont care which of the likely candidates are chosen and how much better one is than the other..Plenty of forum members favour each individual over the other members choice, with varying reasons whether defense, development, man managers or experience in the coaching arena..
My one and only hope is that whoever the management of this club choose, the candidate has to develop our NRL squad so as it will be very competative week in week out and pick the most potential juniors coming through the pathways that want to play for the WTs NRL team as their major objective, that in itself could be difficult as other clubs offer bigger amounts of money to draw them to their club, however this is where its important to teach the youth to become one club players with incentives to keep them here..
I know its no easy task being a head coach, but success is what our main aim HAS to be for our immediate future..
Time and time again we are promised a great year ahead only to be left disappointed come seasons end,in reality when you look at the past decade we have been rebuilding year after year...The remainder of this year and next should virtually be the end of the rebuilds and the start of a solid platform for finals football in the very near future, this club can not rely on the excuse year after year that we are in a rebuild year, that reasoning should be shown the door as should some individuals throughout the club...

Good read bud.
I don't think money is an issue in getting the best coach, having all the resourses and systems at his disposal to be a successful development coach is though...like the COE.
As far as rebuilds go, if the club is structured and coached correctly throughout the pathways system there shouldn't be a need for these so-called rebuilds 🤔

It will take a very brave man or a desperate man to take the gig on. Our major problem is our short term future looks grim. By that I mean, next year we will not be anywhere near the eight without some real quality recruitment and that is not going to happen. We need a coach who is willing to back himself and want the challenge. It would appear CC has reservations, I can understand that, but if that is the case he is not the man for us. This so called development will not work without a 100% believe that it will work.

Anyway time to move down the list and find this person who is up for the challenge and buys Sheen’s vision

How ironic is it that all the so called experts keep telling CC to "pick the right opportunity" , "look at the history of coaches there" etc etc. The same experts that will say how we "missed our man again". They keep having a go for us not getting it right, when all they do is their best to paint us in the worst possible light and keep us down. ( unfortunately we do assist)

Its going to take one, highly skilled brave person to turn this organisation around. Someone that is full of courage and intent for the long haul, that sees enough positives to disregard all the outside noise and most importantly the belief in their own ability to get the job done.

Considering we have members on the board that are there for life, they have to make sure IF we ever get out of this mess, we never, ever get anywhere near it again. We have a different generation of players and coaches who only want to go to something successful, not build it.

The Board wanted Ciraldo during the first review if we are to believe the rumours circulating at that time. Maguire survived because Ciraldo wasn't ready to come at that time. Maguire has been let go so what are we to deduce from this?

Who knows, the media telling him not to so who knows what the head noise will do.

I often wonder if there would have been any diffrence if Bennett came before we signed maguire, I just wonder if he would have been able to do any better with what we had. As far as Ciraldo not signing, you want to be a head coach, an opportunity presents itself if you don't take it someone else will. Just suggests he may not have enough confidence in himself or the club at this stage of his career, I'd start talking to flanaghan.
The feeling I get with this is we would've gone down the same path as Newcastle when he was there....

Was it said somewhere that 2 coaches have applied
Cc toured facilities is 1and haven’t walker bros said they will take on any nrl team.
If we get knocked back by cc then walker’s it is. I would like to see them get a crack but have a feeling that they wouldn’t make it past the mid year review
Wasn't the theory if you toured facilities it was a done deal?

It was a good post with a strong message and I stand by it.

If blokes abuse women, I think they need a shirt fronting.

In this case, Ivans stony silence was not good enough. Waves it all through and hides away.

Sometimes I work with victims of domestic violence and I’m not wearing it.

Brandy was furious, Luke Lewis stood up too.

She asked the guys not to film her and not only did they film her, they uploaded it to www. Now she’s mentally ill.

May and the Clearys aren’t the victims in this.

That’s my honest opinion.
Back this completely....the grub needs to be held accountable not play a victim card

Some learned and compelling deductions from the panel here this morning. I duff my fedora!

I just hope hope Lee has been reading!

Having his coco pops, reading the threads and taking notes.

I guess we'll find out in the next couple of weeks.

It would be typical of our board to think that it's a done deal, sack Maguire and then find out it's not a done deal. The fact that it's being played out in the media like Latrell, JAC, TPJ etc. is not a good sign. I don't remember the Maguire signing being in the media for weeks before announced.

Yea i can't stand Flanagan as a man and i was deadset against him coaching WT but i now believe he might be the right guy for the job. He gets down and dirty and is obviously a boots and all type person.

No doubt the media will put the boot in to us for being incompetent and completely ignore the fact that the dogs are also after him.
He succeeds with us and nobody will care about his scruples

We don't know that it isn't a done deal. The Club has released very little on the matter which is professional. You can feel something is building.
