Team List: Jersey Flegg Cup Round 15

For those people that don’t know Joey played with the dragons back in the day, only average but a nice bloke. Being involved with warren Mac back at the dogs and now with us certainly won’t hurt his boys chances going forward. out off all of his rello’s running around, one shows enough ability to go further, the others are getting a go because of joeys affiliation with warren. Harsh but true.
So which one is the gun?

I don’t personally dont think any of them are guns so to speak, with hard work one of the boys show enough to progress. I think a couple of others in jersey flegg show enough with another nrl preseason under their belt, may get to nrl late next year. In terms of gun, like having a young lattrell, suali, Payne has… etc , I haven’t seen one of those in our pathways but who knows, someone always surprises, junior tupou comes to mind, I literally watched him play in flegg and just didn’t see it, but a step up in level I think brought him on and I’m happy to eat humble pie in regards to him.

It's a shame NSWRL can't provide streams for flegg games
Definitely! QRL have a streaming service (Qplus tv) that shows all their statewide games (including their sg ball/jersey flegg equivalent stuff and such) and you choose what games you want to watch. $50 for a yearly subscription. A lot of people won't pay it, but for those of us who really take an interest in the pathways, I would love the option to do this. I hope NSWRL follow suit next year and do the same.

I wonder what their plans are for Tuki Simpkins. Obviously young enough to still play Flegg, but I was of the understanding Madge was willing to let him be moved on.

Obviously a new coach could totally change the fortunes of all the fringe FGers.

Would assume he is on the outer. Hard to see someone drop from NRL to Cup to Flegg and really be seen as an option moving forward (unless it is only very short term). Didn't stand out in the game I was at last week. A shame, as I had real high hopes for Tuki.

People forget he'd only played like a dozen games of league before he got here. Maybe his size and offload meant he was played at too high a level too soon without really getting all the basics down first. Flegg is a good spot for him to develop, he's still very young...

Yeah potentially. Maybe my expectations are too high for him. Having watched him in NSW Cup last year, I just felt that he was destined for bigger things this year. Was keen to see him even push for a bench spot with the NRL side by the end of 2022. I hope he achieves success and the Flegg time does get the best development out of him!

I think he has a high level of performance but the week in and out grind got to him. Professionalism and bring surrounded by pros will help him, if only we had a bunch of experienced pros at the club...
