Wests Tigers Coaches

We’ll Dogs beat us by 30 so there’s bigger whippings coming. Probably not a silly play. Won’t work though.
The fact we have let go Mikaele and Leilua why still getting bashed in the forwards doesn't help. Yeah they weren't playing well but jeez we need some metre eaters.

I wish Kimmorley plays 3 props on the weekend. So sick of our front rowers being gassed all the time. It's embarrassing.

We are not a business we are a sporting organisation.
Actually we are a business …. a sporting business and part of the NRL family business.
Administrative set up is the same as in most large private organisations.
We have budgetary responsibilities.
Growth responsibilities (membership & external / private support).
Capital growth needs Etc. etc. Etc.
The only difference is that our output is not measured in profit $s and value of shares but rather in ongoing financial sustainability as an organisation and of course performance on the field.
..l. we all know that last bit, in relation to our senior grade squads only, is lacking-but on every other front we are doing fine.
But yeah …. we are a business.

Pretty tiresome. You are free to do what you want, but death riding the organisation makes the forum an increasingly negative place. IMO there has to be some form of optimism, some form of hope, otherwise there's no point supporting this club in 2022.

For example they sacked the coach after 3.5 seasons of decreasing returns. Some people are upset by this, some are not, and whilst the situation is definitely complicated, it cannot be argued that Tigers were on a winning trajectory, so sacking the coach is an understandable move.

Since then the team has arguably performed worse and Tigers do not have an immediate replacement ready-to-go (nor, for that matter, do Bulldogs or Warriors). So now the criticism has switched to the playing group, the administrators (though you yourself have never wavered in ongoing repetitive criticism of Pascoe and/or Lee) and death-riding potential new coaching appointments.

There is a big difference between the mindset of "I hope Tigers sign a positive Head Coach to lead us forward" versus "Why would any coach EVER sign for us, we are rabble, fold the joint". I am hopeful Tigers will make decisions to appoint a new on-field leader to improve the player performances and attract new signings. Of course there is a significant chance the new coach will not be able to do this, but, again, I'd rather hope for positive outcomes.

Honestly if I felt as consistently negative and critical of the club as some folks on here appear, I'd walk away from footy for a while at least. It just wouldn't be any good for my health, to be in a constant negative frame of emotional mind about football.
Your right you know and I think a lot of people agree but as its been so long it hard to see the light..
I think we have some quality players for 2023 and with the right coach they will also bring some players which will add to the core.

Fullback - D Laurie - Its hard for a FB to perform if the team in front don't do there job so he will get better.
Wingers - DM & Nofo as both pretty good wingers and know how to finish off a try but people are concerned Nofo get paid too much but that's not his fault.
Centre - need 2 quality centres ( Asu and Tommy might have to do moving forward)
5/8 - Adam D
Half - Hastings
Props - Stefo & Twal
Hooker - Api - Quality
2nd Row - Papa Quality
Lock -

Bench - Joe O - He has been one of the best so far and tries his guts out.

I think we continue to remove the week links and with the COE about to be opened it will also attract players.
The Coach is the biggest thing IMO so fingers crossed

Well said.
Seriously if you supported the Magpies during the 80’s then this is nothing.
Last, second last, and last, i think one year we had two wins and two buys.

Club admin appointed the coaches who recruited those players. Club admin was also in attendance at recruitment meetings.

Club admin is the problem.
I get what you’re saying …. over and over again. But hey…… very boring.

However you should be weary of what you wish for.

First grade success will come but it’s not everything …. things could be worse ….. like coming last ….l WITHOUT having sound financial base, great new facilities, large membership, ever increasing sponsorship and good cap space management.

But the excuse was that the cub had no money and there was no salary cap. Prolonged cellar dwelling didn't happen these days.
