Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Buzz writing that Brad Fittler to bring announced as Bulldogs coach on Wednesday?? Believe it or not from Buzz
Potter is doing a very good job, he would probably feel a bit peeved, Gus trying to talk Ciraldo out of coming to the Wests Tigers, he probably knows he will lose Burton and miss some other Panther players if Ciraldo leaves, maybe why Burton is in the NSW squad now

The Wests Tigers have given Tyrone Peachey permission to explore the open market.

Sources close to Peachey confirmed that his management had requested permission to investigate his options and the Tigers elected not to stand in his way
Peachey was one of the Tigers’ key off-season recruits but his stint at the club could be over only a matter a months after moving from the Gold Coast.

He has played eight games this season but has languished in reserve grade in recent weeks, prompting his management to seek permission to go to market with more than a year remaining on his deal.

Brent Read has just said Peachey is on $750k for next year.
Like seriously how!!!!
If that's correct glad the key players involved are no longer at the club.

He played junior reps in league for two clubs. He played Harold Matts for Newcastle and Ball for Souths. He's no stranger to league.
Depends what you call rep footy, yes all Matts and Ball are considered rep footy, as compared to playing for local amateur sides.

I'm talking rep teams as in NSW, Australia or even City/Country. Rep sides.

It surprises me the lack of quality juniors coming through WT system over the years.

Other teams appear to have a ready made production line and WT appear to be left with the Gods of State Cup

I remember these GODs of State Cup where most of them were lucky to play half a dozen games and struggled with the step up to NRL.

Funny how some of these players over the years were talked up on the Forum only to be complete duds

Zac Cini, Reece Hoffman, Shannon Gallant, Oliver Clarke, Thomas Mikaele, JJ Felise/Collins, Josh Drinkwater, Lamar Liolevuve, Deluoise Hoeter, Kyle Lovett, Brandon Santi, Asp Fine, Jy Hitchcox, Kurtis Rowe, Keith Lulia, Jarrod Farlow, Shaun Spence, Esan Masters, Sitaleki Akaula, Tom Humble, Matt Groat, Jacob Miller, BMM, Blake Lazarus, Nathon Malone, Keith Eshman, Allan and Jason Schirnack, Marion Seve and the list sadly goes on.

Esan Masters should have be a very good NRL player, had the physical attributes but appears very lazy. Only played 85 NRL since his debut in 2017. Can't even make the Titans 17 after Cowboys let him go. Wasted talent and not the only one.

Hi Mate,
There is usually a bit of a lull behind strong packs of juniors coming through... The path can seen to be blocked by the kids just in front of them, And the seniors in front of them... And can be swayed to move on or give it away even.
Granted the lull shouldn't last as long as ours has...

We were pretty strong in the mid 2010's - Most of those kids went on to play firsts with us, Some went on to play with other clubs...
Out of our 2012 NYC win - 12 of those kids played NRL with the club, And we Lost Moses - He most certainly would have as well... That's quite a few.
Raiders had about 7-8 go on to NRL.
We were strong in Ball a few years after, But then seemed to dump it all when Taylor was here....

It'll take a dogs age to build it again, And probably never hit Penrith levels of kids wanting to come through the system.
