Mate it’s been the same basically from day one, except for a couple of years. Our glory years were on the back of a lot of young kids coming through at the same time mixed with some harden pros, and that’s Sheen’s vision for the future. Getting the harden pros is the challenge

everybody could see the Broncos were easily fixed. a roster with Farnworth, Staggs, Oates, Cobbo, Piakura, Riki, Carrigan, Haas and Flegler is far superior to any of those in the bottom 8. Reynolds and Capewell were astute buys that helped to put them on the right path and Ezra Mam is a talent. Ikin really hasn't had to do much. nor has Kevvie.
Sheens has a far bigger job ahead of him. while there's some talent in our top 30, it doesn't compare to what Brisbane has.

Agree. I think there’s two elements to it.
A) astute senior players added
B) their influence on guys learning FG
I am worried we are conceding defeat and ignoring A by calling ourselves a development club. People will point to the two we have signed. In reality we probably need 5 more.
People should know by now that the Brisbane Broncos organisational (heirarachal) structures are less complex than the Wests Tigers, as well as their challenges.
Commercially they've always done well and have had more than adequate resources (juniors, sponsors, shareholders and investors).
Their structures and systems were probably the benchmark for a long time.
💯 agree 👍 Teamwork in any organisation is the way to go.

Factions, interference & influence etc from management.
We have a chair that has been here about 3.5 years I think, maybe slightly longer, who publicly favours certain players. The chair also is our major sponsor. How can you not be influenced by that. Who would ever be able to go against such influence. How can you ever successfully manage players under those conditions. Then to attract players, lawyer tricks were tried: ‘Heads of Agreement’ as an example. A total failure. Who would want to come here with legalese as an incentive.
We still have at least three players from the boys club who if they don’t like being coached a certain way they go running to management. Yet none of these three have ever played finals. The walking on eggshells continue.
We have a CEO who is really just a marketing manager. This he is very good at but running a Rugby League club and doing everything that is needed to win, not so much. To this point has hired all the coaches under his tenure and fired them, or not renewed. With the exception of Cleary who walked out. Under his watch we had the Farah and Benji issues disrupting the club. He was directly responsible for salary cap issues re Farah ambassadorship. Yet he is still running the show. To his credit he did get us a COE but probably in the wrong place if the South-West is our future.
Then we have a Board who is untouchable and therefore unaccountable for their actions. They are very good at running community entertainment clubs, not running football clubs. 22 years with only 3 successful ones demonstrates this.
Now we have hired Sheens and given him the keys to the kingdom. He should have stuck to pathways. That would have been a great role for him. Sheens was kicked out of here for valid reasons. This will not end well.
The blame for non performance however always lay with the coach. Can you see a pattern here?

Oh I am sure the phone will ring hot, same as it does for head coaches. If Tigers are truly a basketcase rabble, as others have said, I wonder why any reputable CEO would want to join Tigers either.
I don't "clearly like the guy" at all; see this is always the problem it boils down to. You assume I critique your comments because I have some personal interest or investment with Justin Pascoe. No - I critique your comments because I think they are sometimes baseless, repetitive and pointless.
re Pascoe I barely know the guy, but it doesn't stop you and others making snide comments because you cannot understand how to separate the man from the role. I don't bag out his hair or his forehead or his outfits, because that's personal and it doesn't have an impact, IMO, on how he performs his duties.
I can defend the principle of the issue, i.e. the role of the CEO and the impact on club success (or rather: the lack of understanding of the CEO role by the average punter), without having a specific opinion about the CEO himself or herself. You never seem to understand that and it appears to be why you tend towards personal remarks when you run out of things to say.

Think pascoe biggest issues was he engaged with fans way too much in doing so placed a much larger target on his back.
If he didn't engage so much in the past perhaps less people would know who he is and put such importance on him.
