Our ambition for the rest of the season and beyond?

I think he’s just a tight arse personally. If you invest enough, you will turn things around. Souths are proof. It’s probably forgotten just how bad Souths were in the early 00’s. Arguably worse than us if you can believe it. So it can be done. Harry cbf though.
It’s not just money mate, you know that. More importantly, it’s what you do with the money.
WT have got a little surplus, but not enough it seems to pay for an airline ticket to Brisbane for Hastings?
The only way we get Ciraldo is having him continually count his 5 year pay packet. And if he comes for that we’ll turn him into another Seibold or Barrett.

To me the biggest issue with this club is the attitude of the playing group...its been spoken about many times over by Madge and the other coaches but for some reason the playing group shows ZERO resilience or guts when playing...We compete for short periods but never for 80 minutes game after game. This is what the Riff playing group do set after set, game after game.

I still think the whole front office and board need to be looked at...Pascoe has been here 7 years,he has done well financially for the club, but a lot of the time CEOs spend about 5 years in the job and move on ,Lee has his own business ,is a major sponsor and somehow is our Chairperson,Sheens was sacked but now seems to be the one that will put us back into the finals contention albeit after 3/5 years of development...
I dont know the answers but one thing Im certain of,if this continues down the road we are on it will take us more than 6/7 years to get back to being a major contender in the NRL...
We also risk memberships, fans and sponsors ...we are a huge brand that we are proud of,however atm its leading to embarrassment...

Something tells me we haven’t yet seen the fallout from the coach sacking. I think we need to deal with this first before we can identify individual and team goals.
I imagine there would be a degree of uncertainty that needs to be addressed?
For sure.
Sheens should have had a signature the day after Madge was released. Unprofessional conduct rarely attracts top talent.
API and Papa specifically must be having sleepless nights.

Well articulated.

I think all of us long suffering fans just want to see some light at the end of the tunnel and a proper plan going forward not ban aide solutions like giving a Rookie untried coach 5 years. Smells and looks like desperation.

Remember WT was a forced marriage in 2000 after Balmain (last Grand Final win in 1969) and Western Suburbs (last grand Final win in 1952) were struggling to survive and completing with the other power Sydney Teams.

To me whilst I loved the 2005 Grand Final win in hindsight it appears to me that the forced marriage then had a baby to patch up the relationship and whilst for a while it bought joy to Balmain, Western Suburbs and WT fans it only just patch over the cracks that everyone in the organisation was ignoring.

In 2004 WT finished 9th place with 10 wins. In 2005 finished 4th with 14 wins.

After winning the Grand Final in 2005 WT finished 2006 season in 11th spot with 10 wins so they really did not capitalise on the GR win and return back to 2004 success or lack of.

Something needs to be done otherwise membership and support for the club will be eroded.

I don't have a solution but surely there are smarter people than me who can put this organisation back on track and make this club successful again and fans proud.

To me sacking coach after coach has not addressed the root cause of the problems.

The players are just a reflection of a poorly run organisation that needs a complete overhaul.

Professional sport is all about success which in turn brings in support and money.

Yeah Lee went on SEN and said the sacking was done on their own timeline. Totally didn't have anything to do with the fact that the Dogs sacked Barrett a week or two before and then Brown was marched so they had to move quick to avoid missing out on their target...

The whole thing stunk of a panicked move.

No more training for the rest of the year, just turn up on gameday. After all we definitely don't look like a coached side and they can have the just like Kimmorly mentioned. I don't think we could play any worse.
