Wests Tigers Coaches

Surely the board already has plan , B, C & D underway once CC rejected the offer. I cant believe they would be starting the search from scratch, or am I being a bit naive šŸ™„
Everything will be Plan A recycled and find a scapegoat if that does not work. Our administration and board are incompetent

what a horrendous couple of days. just lost all of our bargaining power and made ourselves look even more embarrassing than we did before. every coach that is approached will be asking for a 5 year deal now.

well done WT administration. you can talk about pathways and the centre of excellence all you like but it doesn't hide the fact the lot of you are completely inept. somebody put a gag on Hagipantelis with a combination lock.
šŸ˜‚ The only difference between WT administration and the fans, is that most fans aren’t in WT administration.

Management have copped a bagging on the Ciraldo offer and subsequent snub, but they played it the right way.

They've made no secret that they want someone in place soon to offer some certainty for 2023 recruiting.

Putting some pressure on Ciraldo to show his cards was the right move.

But was announcing that he did not get the job the right move?

ā€œHey everyone, this rookie we have been chasing for weeks said noā€. I’ve never seen any club announce the non-signing of a coach.

All this focus on the coach when the biggest problem is the roster.
We have no forward pack and we face Penrith in a couple of weeks - pray to God they rest some players.
Any half decent coach can get results with a decent roster.
Just sort it out - stop making them scapegoats for what is the obvious weakness - and buy some players who want to win FFS.

He signed McInness out from under everyone… he had no money - he said that openly
I want to believe he can attract players, and is a good option. Mainly because we have very few good options and the only way anyone is going to improve us is if they can bring better players here.

The question I have is why did Cronulla punt him for a rookie coach when on the field they were doing alright?

He’d be just more of the same for this club.

I think that's why people are disappointed about missing Ciraldo.

The roster is definitely the biggest problem, but Ciraldo had hype about him that could help bring better players. With the likes of Morris, Flanagan, and Woolf I don't think they have the same level of respect and when your club is a laughing stock, we needed something.

Bryce Gibbs' comment about communication being the best asset of a coach resonates. Bennett, Cleary, Sheens, Bellamy and Payten all are very good communicators. Morris as well as I watched him at our local cafe speaking with his assistants and delegating responsibility.

In the dressing sheds, Cleary is photographed at halftime sitting with his team in a relatively relaxed moment speaking with his team who are all sitting and attentive. I looked at a halftime photograph of Maguire in our sheds standing, obviously angry and gesticulating with his finger. A few listening maybe.

Shouting, gesticulating, swearing and being angry is not tough and it does not make you tough. When that fails, what do you have left? Nothing is the answer. Good communication is the key and our next coach has to be a great communicator.
Bellamy does a fair bit of swearing, gesticulating and being angry,in the sheds and in the coaches box...how many finals have the Storm played in,I think the players get his communication skills...
Hasler, tore the door off the sheds in anger and swears a fair bit,the Manly players seems to do well for him and they seem to play in finals more than we do...
Once again Paws I like your input on the forum, but the hate for Madge by nit picking what goes on in the shed and communicating bears no reflection of coaching skills..
Many of the players speak highly of Madge, the ones that dont are probably the ones that want to get their pay the easy way....
On Sheens,he certainly didnt communicate well with C.C. or the members about our future coach...it seems like "dont worry board Im going all out on CC and he will be with us,if he doesnt we will cross that bridge when we come to it "...yep great planning and communication that time...

Morris may speak well and communicate well, but he still got sacked from a club he was doing well at...go figure..

Woolf would bring absolutely no one initially. He’d need a season of us at least making the 8.

Buzz is in with Cronulla and had reported it was about his failures recruitment. The new coach comes in and grabs Hines and Finucane. They are around top 4. Pretty telling argument against signing him.

Makes perfect sense to me.

If you tell the public you're chasing him, of course you tell the public that he's out of the race.

It’s like the media guy just hears things in the office and says right I better put out a statement. They still have the L plates on.

Luciano going to cows

Not signing a coach

Both amateur and unprofessional statements from the club.

They sacked a coach who had the support of the decent players they had, and was able to attain the two best players the club has attracted by any coach. We let go two forwards in an already weak pack and dont replace them and expect to get the players up to perform after missing out on the target that they sacked their coach for.
We have got players that are being picked off by other clubs because of our inability to address our weaknesses - whatever hope Sheens was supposed to offer to date has been an epic fail.
To sack Maguire thinking Ciraldo would come on board at this point just adds to the dumb decisions those with the power at this club keep making. How anyone can have faith in whoever is responsible for the decisions being made is beyond my understanding.

Announcing a non signing does seem a tad unusual, but then also does announcing the chase, the contract details and the 7 hour tour of the gymnasium and barber shop.
Was the whole event videotaped?
Bwahahaha!
🤣🤣🤣

I agree with everything you've said.
