Yes where he is now working with the juniors in our amazing Pathways programme 🙂
Or, Cleary sent Ciraldo to spy on us.I think it could be one or more of four things:
- it's because people are scared of being seen as failures (look at the way some players use 'I want to be in a winning club' as an excuse);
- they don't want the long-term stress of trying to implement change (I know how mentallydemanding that can be from personal experience);
- they can't envisage how to turn the Titanic around;
- or he thought there is no chance of success with the staff and/ or players.
If Madge was running a wonky ship, how do you explain the negative impact on the scoreboard since his departure?Good read INK.
I agree that there is a huge std difference between rounds.
One week a handful of players play pretty good footy only to back it up the next week with rubbish.
Madge kept saying that we trained really well during the week and he believes in the players....really??
I do agree that when my team trained hard and gelled during the week we normally played well on the weekend, so was Madge telling the truth or was this another smoke screen.
Maybe Madge was really running a wonky ship and he just had to go.
I was one of many who supported Madge, but really the side has lacked development and the players had no intensity or real skill right across the paddock during Madges tenure.
As you said INK, there was never a constant level of enthusiasm, not many players in the fight.
He might have been missing the morning teas and wanted to know if we still had them 🙂Or, Cleary sent Ciraldo to spy on us.
I don't mind flannos, as long as its not stripes, makes me look fat.Go all out for flanno.
Same players mate.If Madge was running a wonky ship, how do you explain the negative impact on the scoreboard since his departure?
@hobbo1 might have a few rough edges, but from the pm's I have had with him I've found him to be a fair dinkum 👍 decent bloke, who says it as he feels it with a very dry sense of humour 😂 which you either get or you dont...but I get it .Free country mate. You come down from your mountain lair on occasion to hurl bones at people, and cochise can post when he pleases.
If you’re saying the players were demotivated, what was causing this? Could it have been the constant destabilising effect of the coach getting sacked?Same players mate.
My dig is really at the players first and foremost. Madge is loyal and tried to cover up the fact that he was going backwards with this team. Saying they trained hard and back it up with inconsistent games is the sign of the titanic going down.
I'm with you re Ben Gardiner @AceshighI would like to see Ben Gardiner given the opportunity,however he could be down the pecking order now
Yeh ok.You should be banned for this
Like a lot of other players i guess.Some of those guys - Didn't really play after that...
We certainly watched just what Madge can do with a talented and committed playing group.It appears that the only winners out of sacking Madge is the NZ international team and their supporters...
Well done to Madge and his squad...I hope he gets an opportunity in the NRL somewhere in the future...
Us atm are where we always are,hoping and praying for some sanity to prevail....
Still on the defence.Clutching at straws if you need to bring Hartigan into it.
I heard it mentioned on ABC Grandstand over the weekend where they reckon Potter is a good chance of staying at the Dogs.Steal back Mick Potter from underneath Jabba’s nose
Legend🙏I don't mind flannos, as long as its not stripes, makes me look fat.
