What wisdom . It’s a game . It’s not wisdom to say we spend way too much of our energy invested in something that inevitably 4 months after the first weekend in October , it resets again .
Times like right now , make me pause and think to I really want to put myself in a hole mentally because the team I support are shit .
It’s called keeping it all in perspective .
But yeah take offence over the most obvious thing in the world . Way to jump at shadows dude !

Oh and to answer your question . With the amount of existential dread , angst , wrist slitting , anger , frustration and generally anti social attitudes expressed on here , you’d think we were all talking about the fact the planet is going to shit , or We’ve hitched our wagon to a country in America who look like they want the abolition of Jim Crow , and take it back 100 years to lynchings and bashing gay people like it’s 1908.
Or the economic crisis . But nope we are losing our shit over a football team .
And whilst I do care and love the club , and am very invested , I will forever remind myself it is after all , just a childrens game . The sun isn’t not setting because manly beat the tigers 32-6.
If you want to call that wisdom , imo that’s an overstatement for common sense .

Have all the passion in the world . I know I do , but when it really comes down to it . It’s just a thing where people run around chasing a white ball .
If you want to get upset about that reality . Then that’s on you . It doesn’t change it .
 
I suppose we can all agree now the board/Pascoe/Sheens stuffed up by not sacking Madge late last year.

The argument was made that this was done because the coach they wanted turned us down last year but now he's going to join. We all now know that that is not true. Either that or we screwed it up just like Latrell, JAC, TPJ etc.

We can't do it now while we're trying to find a coach, but once we do, I hope Pascoe is gone.

When one day he is being interviewed by another club and when surely the interviewing club would ask Ciraldo this question, Why did you reject the WT very good offer as head coach?

Knowing now that we have a strong junior pathways, a good salary cap, a new CoE, and the choice of the roster that would have been handed to him,
What would his awswer be?, now, I cannot think of a satisfactory answer to this question by Ciraldo that could satisfy the interviewing club and that would accept him for the job.

His rejection of our massive.offer would surely backfire on him one day.

I agree, but reckon atm it would be the best possible outcome for us, that's just my opinion though.

Only thing is if he does, we still need some good reliable players to come, the knock on him at Cronulla was he couldn't attract any star players

For those interested, please go to the Sharks Forever Forum. You will not read a bad word about John Morris from Sharks' supporters. The reason is Morris cares unlike some of his competitors. He genuinely empathises with his players, he has experienced tough times himself. I'm sure his first task will be to bring the team together if he is appointed and he will succeed. He also has that ability to bring young players through. Please be respectful on their forum.
